Forum URL: p2pindependentforum.com/I have recently signed up to the P2P forum, but am encountering problems logging in. I had to wait a few days for the application to be approved, but now this has been done when I try to log in I'm told my account is disabled. I can get as far as seeing that there's a welcome message waiting for me, but as soon as I try to read it I'm told the account is disabled. The account is flagged as having been activated, so that isn't the issue. Any advice on how to get around this, or is it just a matter of waiting for the account to be enabled? Many thanks for any advice.

mrsp2p, it does appear that your account has been disabled by a staff member of that forum. There is no way "around this" as it is at their discretion. You would need to wait for them to enable the account again. Since your account is new, you could check your email to see if they tried to contact you in case there was an issue with your registration. Sorry, other than that, not much we can do.

Thanks Scott. Is there any way in which I can contact the forum admin as I can't find an email contact? I can't post a query unless I am logged in - and I can't log in!

Thanks Scott. Is there any way in which I can contact the forum admin as I can't find an email contact? I can't post a query unless I am logged in - and I can't log in! Unless the staff of that forum have publicly provided contact information, you will unfortunately have to wait. Barring an infraction of the ProBoards Terms of Service, PB admins do not interfer in how a forum admin chooses to run their forum, especially in matters of privacy like sharing off-site contact info. All I can suggest at this point is to wait patiently; if they don't disable your account or extend content after a reasonable amount of time (say 2-3 weeks), then I'd move on and find another place or create your own.

Hi mrsp2pI am in a similar situation - got an email telling me I was approved but on attempting to log in the system tells me that my account is 'disabled'. I hope that someone from the p2pindependentforum.com admin will enable the account. It is frustrating that there is no way to contact the forum staff to ask for help, so I suppose I'll just have to wait. If I do get 'enabled' soon I will let you know, and could at least then contact them to ask about your account status too. Cheers

Hi,
I am also in a similar situation and I just signed up. I have no idea why some admin / mod disabled the account just after I set it up? I can't have done anything wrong since I have never been on the forum before!
Is there anyway to get in touch with anyone on the p2p Independent Forum? (My account would be JasonH but I had to create this JasonFH just so I could post this message which makes things messy...)
Thank you to anyone who can help / suggest anything...
Jason

Per the support forum rules, you should have created your own thread. That said, if you see Kami's response above, you will have your answer.
For whatever reason, this is how they choose to run their forum. Both the OP and muxton were eventually able to post (seen in a thread muxton started).

jasonfh Just out of interest, have you tried to contact tonmod here? According to this he seems to have something to do with the forum in question.

Fingers crossed. It may be that the staff there are busy or super cautious as you're not the only one it's happened to.

Yes it is quite strange. I thought it was just me and so I had my partner also sign up, and she signed up with a completely different email address and domain and the same thing happened to her.
Maybe I just missed the full instructions somewhere for signup? But it seems a rather "unique" sign up procedure... That they do this and don't send out any email or instructions or anything...
