I've had some unusual things happen since the recent Microsoft windows 10, update 1803, not sure if this is connected or not.
Anyway, I'm trying to create a new theme off of an old one that I exported and imported and renamed. As soon as I tried to change the banner, I got a prompt that, well, I can't show you, because you have blocked Photobucket. Hmm...
It says, "There was a problem loading the Editor due to errors in your CSS file. You must manually fix your CSS Here (a link) before you can proceed." So I click that and it takes me to the top of the CSS section but no instructions on what to do or what the error might be.
I started with the Banner, which I had hosted with you over the years. I went to my Documents to get the new banner, but it wouldn't load. So I tried using a link to my image host, that didn't work either. I WAS able to change the color of the background though.
I decided I better ask before I went any further.
Thank you for your help. JJ

Hi, JJ. I tried uploading a new banner in Firefox and wasn't able to duplicate the issue. The banner successfully uploaded and I was able to save the theme without any errors. Is there anything missing in the steps I took?

Hi Brian . I use Firefox too. I went to the Theme Editor, like normal, and I always start from the top down. So I started with the banner. I didn't think of trying an old banner in there, I was using a new one, but it's a jpeg. Still, I'll go try another banner and see if that might be the problem. Did you use the host with Proboards option? That's what I usually do in there, and a few other areas. But a lot of my stuff is on Photobucket, which is now a curse word in here. LOL ETA: Nope, as soon as I opened the Editor, I got that same prompt again. Another edit: I tried other themes, as soon as they came up, I got that prompt.

Yup, I uploaded it directly to the forum.
- Went to Themes > Colors & Theme Creator - Clicked on the upload button next to the Banner Image field - Uploaded a file successfully - Clicked Save Changes

This doesn't make sense, Brian . I've made dozens of themes. I can't even get that far, I get that blasted prompt. imgur.com/a/hhC9Lb2ETA: Wait wait wait. You went to the Colors thingamajig. I went to an existing theme (imported) and tried to change it. Another edit, didn't make any difference, still didn't work using your method.

Can you list the steps that you took?
I tried changing it in both Colors & Theme Creator and in Advanced Styles & CSS. Both methods yielded success.
I also gave it a try on my laptop using my phone's hotspot (just to rule out anything related to the office) and still wasn't able to duplicate the issue.

Lord, let me count the ways, Brian . Ok, I've done the standard things. I have several test themes from the past few weeks, so I started with them. (even created a new bogus one) I made sure the themes was accessible by clicking on it in the list, but set the viewing to staff only. I go to: Admin, Themes, pick a theme. Advance Style and CSS (that's when I get the prompt about the error, even before I pick a theme.) I still tried, but no. Now, I have not tried editing colors, sizes, etc. in the boards/threads. I figured if I couldn't get past the banner, it was a waste of time. As I mentioned earlier, however, I WAS able to change the color of the background in the banner area. So I've also tried, Admin, Color and Theme Creator Forum Banner Chose that little icon on the right with the arrow, which takes me to my Documents, chose an image, clicked in it, save it, nothing. No change from the existing banner in the bogus new theme, it stays the same. In one of my tries, this deleted the Proboards hosted image, so now that area is blank in one of the test themes. In all the years I have been doing this, this one has me stumped. What I haven't done is to go to one of my test sites and jump through the same hoops. I figure that it might work there, if the site is on a different server, but getting it to work on my current site server was a different story. ETA: When I get the Prompt, I click in the link, go to the CSS area and then head back to the Editing area, starting with the banner section.

Brian I have gone to all my test sites, and I get that same prompt every time I try to open the Themes, Advanced Style and CSS option. It has to be the most recent update by Windows 10, I have not made any changes other changes to my computer or browser.

All fixed, Brian . I went back to an earlier version of Windows 10, and now things are working like they should. Thanks for sticking with me while I worked this out.
