I'm very fond of the Dancing Script font. I changed my banner text to that, and I can see it fine on my desktop (that has that font installed), but I don't see that font on my phone or my Kindle Fire. I'm guessing i have to have that font installed which means only i can see it? Unless there is a coding work around? Thanks!

Are you getting that font from Google Fonts? In other words, do you have a line, such as:
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Dancing+Script" rel="stylesheet">
in your Wrapper template (Admin > Themes > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper), and this at the bottom of your stylesheet (Admin > Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Stylesheet (tab)):
font-family: 'Dancing Script', cursive;
If not, then it's most likely a font that's installed on your computer - meaning only you would see it while on your computer.

No. But if I add those scripts, will everyone see it? (Thanks!)

No. But if I add those scripts, will everyone see it? (Thanks!) In this particular case, yes. Alternatively you can just use the @import property in your style sheet as provided by the google font API (click "select this font" at the top right), which I would recommend personally since it's a) easier to find when making adjustments to your CSS if it's all in one place, and b) the stylesheet gets cached by your web browser so it won't have to reload the font reference every time you navigate to a page. However, more broadly, in order for a font to display online without the user installing it, the font must be hosted somewhere so the forum can reference it; if the font is not available on the Google Font API, then you'd have to find a place to upload & host the font in order to do the same thing. Also, please note that the above aren't 'scripts', they are a reference and CSS, respectively; this might seem like a nitpicky issue, but when you are discussing web development 'script' has a very specific meaning, so it's best not to get them confused (:

sorry to confuse anyone; just a non-developer inaccurate use of nomenclature. LOL So to be clear, if I add the first reference you gave to the forum wrapper, and the 2nd one to the bottom of my css, everyone will see it and it's sufficient for all the reasons you gave? When I clicked the select this font, what popped up was essentially the 2 lines you gave me. Just want to clarify because I know just enough to be dangerous (to myself.) thank you!

You can either add this:
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Dancing+Script" rel="stylesheet">
to Admin > Structure > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper before the closing tag near the top
OR, you can add the @ import CSS instead, which is
@import url('https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Dancing+Script');
to the bottom of your style sheet in Admin > Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Stylesheet (tab).
Regardless of which method you choose, you will then need to add the complete CSS to adjust the text in your banner to the bottom of your style sheet (under the @ import CSS, should you choose that method)
#banner { font-family: 'Dancing Script', cursive; }

Sorry, it looks like what I had originally typed got stripped out by the text editor -- that first reference needs to go before the last <head> tag in your Forum Wrapper template.

Your forum is closed to guests so I can only hazard a guess and say that the 'mobile' view (since you mentioned your iPhone) does not take into consideration any modifications to the forum appearance beyond colours at this time (this will change come v6, but we do not have an ETA on its arrival).
Whilst on your iPhone, navigate to the bottom of the forum and press the "desktop" link on the bottom right; let me know how it looks from there.

I had already discovered the desktop link, and it still shows the standard font. I'm re-opening the board registration now. I don't like to leave it open overnight while I'm sleeping, especially with links to it here. Nothing personal re helpers, just others who might not be. thanks!

p.s. my desktop at work, without the font added, shows a generic (not Dancing Script.)

My apologies, I was unavailable yesterday. If your concern is about unwanted registrations, you don't need to have "Guests Must Login" available -- as long as "Restricted Registration" is set to "Yes", all registrations will require manual approval before registrants can use the forum.
I understand your concerns, but there are plenty of security measures available (making boards members-only + restricted registrations) that will allow guests to see, but not participate on or join, your forum.
Since we do not seem to have the same schedules, I cannot help unless the forum is open to guest view even while you are offline. It's okay if you do not want this to happen, but in that case you will need to wait for a member of the PB administration to assist.

Thank you for that!
So it looks like you have somehow overridden the logo font with "Dancing Script OT Regular" somewhere; I'm not sure where this could be, but if you finding it and removing it is step one.
Step 2 would be to change this:
#banner { font-family: 'Dancing Script', cursive; }
to this:
a#logo { font-family: 'Dancing Script', cursive; }
