The gender is an easy fix. Replace the line of code with the gender with the one below. {if $[user.gender]}<span class="float-right">$[user.gender.image]</span><br />{/if} As to the other bit, I am not sure what is going on. I will bring Brian in on this, (since he is good at CSS) when he has time to take a look. I have a feeling it is something very simple that I am not seeing.

The gender is an easy fix. Replace the line of code with the gender with the one below. {if $[user.gender]}<span class="float-right">$[user.gender.image]</span><br />{/if} It still cut off the avatar, just being the tiniest bit too low. However, I added another <br /> and it was fixed though now there's a lot of empty space between avatar and member group. I'm considering maybe just not have the icon show in mini-profiles? Not everyone chooses the option and sometimes they play characters a different gender to themselves. It'll be displayed in their main profiles, but for mini-profiles it might be best to not have it displayed regardless of if they've indicated their gender. Is there a way to do that? And hoping Brian has insight to the other stuff when available.

Did you add the <br /> inside the if statement ??
{if $[user.gender]}<span class="float-right">$[user.gender.image]</span><br /><br />{/if}
To remove it altogether add <!-- and --> each end of the code. Doing it this way means you can bring it back any time you want, just by removing <!-- and -->
<!-- {if $[user.gender]}<span class="float-right">$[user.gender.image]</span><br /><br />{/if} -->

Hi Water CrystalsI have been having a think about things and I think I might have found the problem. We need to add .even to each of the CSS bits of code and have a second lot of the code. Sometimes things can work for one post and not the one next to it, due to the 1st post being an odd number, (as in post #1) and the next one being an even number, (as in post #2). Replace what you have in the stylesheet with the code below. .mini-profile .minip-info { display:none; } .mini-profile .mini-profile:hover .minip-info { background: @container_background_color_1; border: 2px solid @container_outer_border_color; position: absolute; width: 125px; display: block !important; margin-top: -165px; margin-left: 153px; padding-left: 5px; border-radius: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; -webkit-border-radius: 5px; z-index: 1; }
/* Mini profile hover. */ .even .mini-profile .minip-info { display:none; } .even .mini-profile .mini-profile:hover .minip-info { background: @container_background_color_1; border: 2px solid @container_outer_border_color; position: absolute; width: 125px; display: block !important; margin-top: -165px; margin-left: 153px; padding-left: 5px; border-radius: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; -webkit-border-radius: 5px; z-index: 1; }

Nscalerr ๐บ When I add this the hover stops appearing entirely. Nothing happens on mouse-over.

Looks like adding the extra .mini-profile to the 2nd bit of CSS is what caused the problem. You need to remove it it, so the two lines look like the ones below. .mini-profile:hover .minip-info .even .mini-profile:hover .minip-info If it still misbehaves, I am totally out of ideas as it works fine on the test theme on my forum. Might have to get Scott, (When you're not busy) or Chris to take a look at things. Below is the Mini Profile Template I am using in the test theme of my forum, which I think is the same as what you are using. <div class="$[miniprofile_class]"> $[user]<br /> {if $[user.is_guest]}Guest<br />{/if} {if $[user.is_deleted]}<em>Deleted Member</em><br />{/if} {if $[user.group]} $[user.group.name]<br />$[user.group.stars]<br /> {elseif $[user.rank]} $[user.rank.name]<br /> {if $[user.rank.stars]} $[user.rank.stars]<br /> {/if} {/if} {if $[user.custom_title]}$[user.custom_title]<br />{/if} $[user.warning.bar] <br /> <div class="minip-hover"> <!-- {if $[user.gender]}<span class="float-right">$[user.gender.image]</span><br /><br />{/if} --> {if $[user.avatar]} <div class="avatar">$[user.avatar]</div><br /> {/if} </div> {if $[user.is_online]}<br /><span class="italic">Member is Online</span>{/if} <div class="minip-info"> {if $[user.personal_text.message]} $[user.personal_text]<br /> {/if} {if $[user.is_member]} <div class="info"> <span><span style="font-weight: bold;" class="money_text"></span><span class="money_symbol"></span><span class="money_amount"></span></span><br /> <span class="headings">Posts:</span> $[user.posts] {foreach $[user.mini_custom_field]} <br /><span class="$[user.mini_custom_field.content_class]"> <span class="headings">$[user.mini_custom_field.name]:</span> $[user.mini_custom_field.value]</span> {/foreach} </div><br /> {/if} </div> {if $[user.badges_miniprofile]} <div class="$[user.badges_miniprofile_container_class]"> {foreach $[user.badges_miniprofile]} $[user.badges_miniprofile.icon] {/foreach} </div> {/if} <div class="pokemon_stats peep$[user.id]"></div> <div class="awards $[user.id] $[user.name]" style="display: table; width: 100%"></div> </div>

I made those edits so it functions now, but the issue persists. Hopefully Scott or Chris can look at it.

Had another look at things and it appears that the users with the image in the top righthand corner are the ones that have the hover problem. So if you set the z-index in the CSS that I have done for you to a higher value will get it showing up.

I've tried that before. Doesn't fix the issue no matter how high I set the z-index value.

z-index: 10 !important;
All I can think of to make it override the other one.

As said, no matter how high I make the x-index it won't work. Still need help with this. Seems to be really quiet online here lately. Do you have any suggestions Kami ?

I donโt have any suggestions for this, sorry! My only idea regarding the z-index is that itโs conflicting with other elements on the page. Personally though I dislike hovers because you canโt over on mobile, and google is dinging sites in their SEO rankings for not being responsive. If you do use a hover make sure it doesnโt contain any important data at the very least.

Yeah, it's still not working. I may have to consider an alternative...

As Kami said, something is conflicting with what we want to do and I am not sure where to start. But I am sure we can come up with a variation that works.
