Since this thread appears to have nothing to do with tech support and is just custom coding help, I'm moving it to the more appropriate board.

Is it possible to get the background coloring to cover 80% or 800px of the forum? I would like to leave room for some transparent or white space. I am thinking about adding background images. How do I plug in the color codes for the containers and any other parts of the forum board? In that case we need to change it to the following. You will have 10% of the white background each side. #wrapper { filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr=rgba(230, 238, 255, 0.2), endColorstr=rgba(217, 202, 217, 0.8)); background: -webkit-gradient(linear, 0% 0%, 0% 100%, from(rgba(230, 238, 255, 0.53)), to (rgba(217, 202, 217, 0.8))); background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, rgba(230, 238, 255, 0.2), rgba(217, 202, 217, 0.8)); background: -moz-linear-gradient(rgba(230, 238, 255, 0.2), rgba(217, 202, 217, 0.8)); background: -ms-linear-gradient(left, rgba(230, 238, 255, 0.2), rgba(217, 202, 217, 0.8)); width: 80%; margin: auto; } Other parts of the forum, you should be able to do through the visual editor, depending on how you want them done.

Go to Admin Home > Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Visual Editor > BackgroundThen copy and paste this link in to where it says Background Image, making sure where it says Background Attachment is set to Fixed and Background Repeat to Repeat. Finally click on save Theme. s5.postimg.cc/qxhy6enhz/resized_snowflake1_copy.jpg

I am able to add a background image in the style sheet. This code (from W3 Schools) worked. I just do not know how to add/include the code for repeat and left side vertical to code below.body { background-image: url("https://s5.postimg.cc/qxhy6enhz/resized_snowflake1_copy.jpg"); }

This is a test theme on my forum using the following CSS and having added the background to the visual editor. Make sure you are editing the correct theme, (if you have more than one). #wrapper { background: -moz-linear-gradient(rgba(230, 238, 255, 0.8), rgba(217, 202, 217, 0.8)); width: 80%; margin: auto; }

When I entered the background image code, your custom background code disappeared. I do not know why. I am going to skip trying to include a background image. I will just keep your custom background code. The code was added to the bottom of the style sheet.

That is a bit odd. Might need to get one of the reds to take a look at things. Maybe Michael can have a look.

This is with rgba and as close to 25% and 75% as you can get. Note the colours are very pale, specially the top one. body { filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr=rgba(230, 238, 255, 0.2), endColorstr=rgba(217, 202, 217, 0.8)); background: -webkit-gradient(linear, 0% 0%, 0% 100%, from(rgba(230, 238, 255, 0.53)), to (rgba(217, 202, 217, 0.8))); background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, rgba(230, 238, 255, 0.2), rgba(217, 202, 217, 0.8)); background: -moz-linear-gradient(rgba(230, 238, 255, 0.2), rgba(217, 202, 217, 0.8)); background: -ms-linear-gradient(left, rgba(230, 238, 255, 0.2), rgba(217, 202, 217, 0.8)); } nscalerr: Thank you. What is the remaining issue here? What needs to be fixed and what’s not working? The help provided is solid and the codes work on test forums.

The background colors have been resolved. The unresolved issues are the background images that I cannot get to display.Read the thread to gain a better understanding of what has not been resolved.
