I'm watching the Eagles and Falcons game right now. I can't believe they didn't call that Julio Jones play a catch. I don't even know what it means to catch a ball anymore.

Holy balls, that Philly-Atlanta game was as boring as unbuttered wheat toast until the last few minutes when it became one of the most intense showdowns imaginable (relative to the rest of the game, at least).
And with all the flags being thrown throughout the game, particularly in regard to the Eagles' seeming insistence to sabotage itself with penalties, I had to remind myself that I wasn't watching a rerun of Cincinatti vs. Pittsburgh circa 2016. Or Cincinatti vs. anyone circa any year.
Glad to see Philadelphia win, though.

Packers against the stealer anyone? ππ Packers play this Sunday against Da Bears, and we are going to whoop them. Haha. Unfortunatly that same night I'll be at a concert. So we're gonna miss like 2 hours of the concert to watch up until half time.

My coveted, illustriously mediocre Bengals won on this day, their season opener. Huzzah! And it was against the very same team that robbed them of a perfect preseason just last week. A four-point lead was about to be turned into a three-point loss when a beautiful interception and TD return expanded Cincinnatiβs lead to an unmatchable eleven points.
O, how my spirits were raised!
Then CBS switched immediately to Cleveland vs. Pittsburgh. I expected nothing to come of this, but my oh my, Cleveland tied the game at twenty-one and had possession with a mere twenty-three seconds left on the clock. Could this be Clevelandβs first win since the year of our lord, Twenty Sixteen?! Could they not only snap their losing streak, but against the loathsome Stealers at that?! My mind raced with anticipation. Itβs not out of the realm of possibility. After all, Pittsburgh has a nasty habit of taking losses or only squeezing minor victories out of terrible teams they should be able to crush with ease.
I want to take a quick digression to remind you, dear reader, that I am no fan of the Browns. It is within my DNA as a Bengals fan and general southwestern Ohioan to hold nothing but contempt within my heart for most things Cleveland-ish (except the Cavs, because Cincy doesnβt have an NBA team). Yet it is a learned trait to loathe the vile wretches that call themselves Stealers (or Stealers fansβGTFO of my state, you transplanted infidels down the street). Upon much consideration and prayer to Paul Brown, I have decided it is the lesser of two evils to root for the Browns when matched against the Stealers. Plus, the Browns are so down on their luck it would be akin to kicking a puppy to simply not root for them whenever thereβs no conflict of interest.
Continuing beyond the digression, Cleveland had it in the bag. They could run the ball for five to ten yards (or more, maybe), rush the kicker onto the field, and get an easy, safe win that would humiliate Pittsburgh. Or they could try for a fieldgoal from where they were at, as they were within range for a competent kicker. The path to victory was obvious. So the Brownsβ QB fires the ball down field where it is picked off by the Stealers and the game goes into OT where everything just ends in a tie. Because of course he did.
YOU HAD ONE GODDAMN JOB, CLEVELAND!!! *kicks trash can*

Well, every Bears fan is Salty! Once Rodgers came back onto the field, they went back up!
It sucks that if we lose Rodgers because of them sacking him and hurting him.

Expensive win for Carolina, losing Greg Olsen and Luke Kuechly in week 1. Defense on both teams Carolina and Dallas was tough, so overall it was a pretty slow game. Last minute turnover by Dallas won the game for us Carolina fanboys. Here's to all that made 1-0 yesterday!
We play Atlanta next week, division rival. We usually beat them in the 1st game and lose the 2nd, but without those 2 key players it might be rough. It looks like they put up a fight against Philadelphia yesterday.

I'm content - both of my teams (football and baseball) won at home against the same States teams.

Am I alone in my absolute disdain for NFL Network and its related bullcrap? The network is of no benefit to fans and serves only to keep the other networks from getting an upper hand in contract negotiations. And nickel-and-diming absolutely everyone imaginable, of course.
But you can watch games for free on the NFL app, right? Ha! Haha! Hahahahaha! Only on a phone (not a tablet!) using only cellular data.
If I ever meet Roger Goodell, Iβm taking a whizz on his shoes. He seems to enjoy pissing all over the fans, so why not a little tit-for-tat, right?
At least the app gives live play-by-plays. Hurray.
