The Skins were having a pretty good year, then Smith got hurt. Just can't see Colt McCoy taking them to a playoff run. And, at 34, Smith might very well retire. Guess I'll root for the Vikings if they make it in, I like Kirk Cousins.

Now this is the Eagles team I've been pining for all season. Good offense, good defense, good protection for Wentz, and even good play calling! Can it last for four more games!?

Makes the Eagles second in NFC East, right?
I'm still not getting my hopes up, but keeping my fingers crossed they finally got their act together.

Playing a Redskins team decimated on offense and some key injuries on defense as well. When was Sanchez signed? Six days ago? Any team would have looked good against them. I didn't think the Eagles played especially well at all, they played a broken team.

Holy carp! Did you see that TD last night? Quite elegant.

I'm impressed that the Eagles took this long to lose. I was expecting to feel disappointed an hour ago.

Yeah, I guess I can find consolation in the fact they had to go into overtime to lose.

Did everyone see that ridiculous miracle touchdown that Miami had against New England? It's such a rarity to see those desperate lateral plays work out.

Seems like every player on the Skins team has given up except for Josh Johnson who they signed to back up Sanchez. He should be the starter the rest of the season IMO.

The Cowboys and Giants both scored 0 points today.
I shall use this joyful thought to comfort me tonight as I watch the Rams demolish the Eagles 48-7.

Owing to the fact that the Bengals broke their 5-game losing streak today, I’m in an uncharacteristically good mood. As such, I’m going to break my usual stance of praying for the giant asteroid to hit whichever city is hosting the annual Patriots-Steelers game (I know how sensitive Pats fans are) and instead wish the Patriots luck. I might even root for them, who knows?
Also, the Patriots gave me an early Christmas present in allowing me to see Roethlisberger get sacked twice in the same drive, for which I will be eternally grateful. Thank you, Patriots defense. Truly.

Skins won today over the Jaguars, but more importantly they mentioned that Alex Smith is finally out of the hospital and home. He was battling an infection in his broken leg after surgery which could have gone really bad. Glad he's home and wouldn't blame him a bit if he just hung it up. $74 million isn't a bad payday.
