Dont you hate it? My normal bed time is at 11am and I like to be up at 7pm but yesterday was so busy that I ended up sleeping all night and woke up at 8am now I have to push myself to stay up all day and night not that fun.

During summer vacations as a child, I had a habit of gradually staying up later and later each night, until I settled into a routine where I'd wake up around 6-7 in the afternoon and go to bed around 10 in the morning. Somehow I always found a way to get back to normal by the end of August, though. Apparently, my circadian rhythm is terrible, and this what happens when I don't have a daily school/work routine to keep it in check.

Without the cues from day/night our natural internal clock has a cycle that's closer to 25 hours than to 24 hours.

I rarely sleep, so it's not hard to mess up my few hours depending on the day.

Take that, societal sleep/wake norms! *proceeds to stay up until 5am using the internet*

When I do night shifts, because it’s not regular and it’s so out of my normal sleeping pattern (23.30-7.30) I just struggle to get much sleep at all. I generally sleep 9.30-14.00 on a good day, very occasionally till 16.00, but all too often just 3 hours between 10.00 and 13.00
