HI, I have been browsing the forum, but can't find anything about this.
But is it possible to add a password to a thread? I have a forum where people RolePlay and some create stories in private via PM, but most want to be able to edit their post or move the entire story when they are finished to a public board. I have been looking into it via the admin-page, but then all who have access can read every thread in that board....
So, if there is a possibility to add a password to threads then I would be grateful!
Thank you!

A plugin wouldn't be able to securely implement this kind of feature since plugins run entirely on client-side code, meaning any passwords saved to a plugin's settings or a plugin key would be visible in the page's source.

Even if such a plugin were created, it wouldn't run in any instance where JavaScript wasn't enabled, like on most mobile browsers. Also, JavaScript can easily be disabled on the computer. This is why people can easily "cheat" and bypass the purpose of many plugins. They all have to operate on an honor system.

Oh... I noticed this forum has "next page" "previous page" at the top and the bottom of the page, where can I find this plugin? My forum doesn't have this yet.

It should be there already. Also, it will automatically be functional if/when you have more than one page of topics in any given board, and when you have more than one page of replies in any thread. It's not a plugin. Right now, it is dimmed out in this thread because we are only on the first page of replies. If this thread were to go onto page 2, you would be able to click the next button.

I have several threads with more then 1 pages, but none have this option at the bottom. Maybe I changed a setting somewhere? Is it possible for someone to take a look? This is the forum De Reizigers

This is the forum De ReizigersIt's an eye trick. It's there on your forum. It follows you down the page. It's at the top and the bottom at the same time if that makes sense. It'll scroll with you as you scroll down the page. Try it out for yourself. Open a thread, and scroll.

Yes, I think I figured it out, lol. It also has to do with the version you see, he mobile version or the desktop. In the mobile version I saw the next/prev option beneath the last post, that option I was looking for. Ps. Thank you for your help!

Anna-Bo, you should read this Help Guide article on Creating a Board that Keeps a Member's Thread Private. This would give a similar effect since only the member would see their own thread. (The main admin would of course still be able to see all threads.) The only downside would be that once it is ready for a public board, you would need to be the one to move the thread.

Thx! That works for private writing, but some have asked to create a thread 2 of 3 could see and not others. Option would be to give some their own board to write stories in before they publish it. 😉
