Hello, my question is about rank and or group text. Im looking how to add gif sparkles background behind the group text or/and change the text color. where and how could i edit that group "Administrator" text? Im looking forward for something like that: (there's moving sparkles/stars effect on the picture) On the picture above would be perfect, if it is possible. Thanks!!

spybanter , I'm not sure if this is the easiest solution, but this is what I did on my forum. Admin > Members > Member Groups I then used UBB code to format the group name how I wanted it to look. [font face="verdana"][font color="1d73f3"][b]ADMINISTRATOR[/b][/font][/font]
This was the result: I'd imagine you could also use UBB code to put an image in the same field. For example, if you created a sparkly, colorful image that said "Administrator" and then hosted the image, I imagine that in the box you could do: [img]http://www.ImageFile.gif[/img] To use the image you gave me, try: [img]http://storage.proboards.com/1/thumbnailer/k0nZ0nbOjpBTyWCIEuPu.png[/img] Edit: I tested it on my forum and it works:

Hi spybanter As you can see by bigballofyarn 's reply, using an image is probably the easiest way to get the effect you want. Member Groups will accept BBCode for the group name. However, Member Ranks will not. In the case of Member Ranks, you'll need to use a little finesse. Use the Censored Words list to replace things like ::New Member:: or $Veteran& with the BBCode for the images you want to display. Be sure to click the Exact Word box and wrap the word for the rank name with punctuation or other characters, if you use a name that would come up in normal conversation. I'd suggest formatting your BBCode this way: [img alt="Administrator" src="http://oi66.tinypic.com/2emddmf.jpg" style="max-width:100%;"] Which results in: The text between the first set of parentheses will display if a browser is unable to load the image for any reason. The URL between the second set of parentheses is a direct link to an uploaded image. In this case, I uploaded to tinypic.com/ but you can use any image host whose ToS is forum-friendly.

Thanks, do names accept bbcodes too? By 'names' do you mean the Display Name, that we can set in our profile (personal tab)? No, that's plain text only.
