Forum URL: consoleracing.boards.net/Just wondering if it's possible to enlarge and maybe highlight the news feed area on the forum so it is more prominent than the current single line entry we have. At the moment it is probably missed by people who are not aware of it. Cheers

Any problems, post back Thanks. I'll have to leave it for now as I am a bit concerned i'll mess the forum up. So I will have to come back to it when I have had more time to familiarise myself with everything. Cheers.

You shouldn't damage any thing through trying it, but to make yourself more comfortable, do you have 'test' forum whichyou can mess round on and try new codes and plugins before installing them on your main forum? It may be worth it if you haven't.

I did as you suggested with a test forum and also now got it up and running now on the live forums so just need to look into how to change the font colours.

I believe the v4 newsfader facilitates html, so you should be able to use <span ...> tags with a style declaration.
<span style="color: #FF0000;"> News Line text ... </span>
Changing the FF0000 to the colour of your liking.

Yeah thanks. I found the code to use but just trying to work out where it goes :/ Thanks to your suggestion about the dummy forum I can mess around as much as I like without fear of messing things up. I haven't done anything with HTML for about 25 years so it's all a bit rusty lol

The plugin grabs the news items from the original news ticker, so you just need to continue typing the news into your forum settings:
admin > settings > news fader
The HTML would go straight in to there. So if i wanted a news line with red text, i would use the code i typed above.
