Do you put it in a container and cash it in when it's full? Do you just spend it as you get it? What do you do with your loose change? Knightly Celt is putting ours into rolls to take to the bank after collecting it in a container for a few months:

I put them into those coin roller things, and then later I use them to pay for Dunkin Donuts orders that are slightly more than $X.00 so that the cashier doesn't have to give me a gazillion coins in change.

I try to give exact change when it's convenient, but at the end of the day I have more coins than when I started. So I'll start the day with a handful of coins and toss the surplus into a candy dish which occasionally gets poured into a big ol' tupperware.
When the tupperware gets full I take it to the bank. (I use TCF Bank.) They have a coin sorting machine and they don't charge a fee for using it. I take the receipt to the teller and just deposit it into my checking. Usually totals out to between $30 and $50.
$155.00 is a LOT. One time I had several coffee cans full of coins and sorted them. Over $200. But it took me years to accumulate them.

We have collected in a big jar, small jar, now just a gallon size ziploc. Funny this came up because last weekend, I told Autumn there was $100.00 in there or more. Come to find out, I was off a bit, only $86.42. Eglin Federal CU charges 4% for members, so $82.00 was deposited!

Our church does a thing for the kids called the "Water Jug Gang". The kids gather spare change from all the adults in every service and dump it into a big water cooler jug. They fill it up about once every 3 months. When cashed in it comes in at between $1,100 and $1,300. The kids then decide where it goes. Missions, building fund, food pantry and yes, even a kids summer festival. It is amazing how far spare change can go and you don't even miss it.

Final total: $155.00 WHOA! I put all of mine into a bucket and count it as such! Usually I use it to get my son a toy or take him out! It is quite nice to have that when you want to do it!

I don't like having a lot of change so I try to get rid of it as soon as possible. I usually end up putting it in the tip jars when I go to places like Starbucks and Panera Bread.

I very seldom have cash on hand as I use debit. If I do end up with change I use it when its convenient.

Small tip never use those coin star systems they take like half of what you get back The ones in our town charge 10.9%, so they would have kept almost $17.00. I'll take the time to roll them for that rate of return!

1p and 2p pieces I put in a glass jar and when it's full, bag them in small plastic bank bags, go to the bank and put it into our account, the likes of 5p,1p,50p pieces I put in a tin sometimes with £2 & £1 as they come in handy for taxis or when the grandsons call give it to them and see their faces lighten up and they look like pirates who have just found a bag of gold coins.

Whenever I get change back, it basically goes into some random area of my bedroom and never touched again as I generally consider change annoying as there is no real place to be able to carry change like you can with cash or credit/debit cards, so basically I view any sort of change as an annoyance to have on me.

You should collect it all and see how much you have! We once had enough that it paid for our vacation. The $155 was from just 3-4 months of emptying pockets; likely going to collect it for a full year before doing it again. By then we should have about $500 in it. Another paid-for vacation from dumping a little change into the jar every day!
