I have very few to be honest. One though, I want to share. Carrie. You know the scene where Carrie's mother is killed by her?
The whole scene. The music. The kitchen utensils....the cruxifiction...very emotional makes me cry. It's her mother. She didn't bring Carrie up right, but....somehow the scene is wrong... It's all about the mother....not Carrie.
Carrie is a free spirit. Her mother is a narcissist.
Carrie should have left.

The cliff scene in Last of the Mohicans. It's totally without speech, but the music and the emotion are overpowering.

The first time I seen Saving Private Ryan. The first sequence, before any understandable dialogue was discernable, about 15-20 minutes. My wife and I were dating, we saw it on the big screen theatre, WOW!

I wish someone would make a movie about America's involvement in WWI like that though too.

There is a similar film already, though it was made for TV and does not match the Omaha Beach landing in Saving Private Ryan. The Lost Battalion follows a group of American soldiers that get stuck behind enemy lines when their offensive was stalled on either side. It has been a while since I've seen this film, but it gives a good/cinematic retelling of a real event.

I once made the mistake of watching 'On The Beach'. YEESH! I mean, it's a powerful and emotive but of story-telling, but it was also very VERY depressing.

The Perfect Storm.
It affected me greatly. Mainly the fact that I paid money to see that unwashed tripe.

Not sure what you mean by 'affect'....do you mean something that makes me sad or something that impacts/changes how i see things?
Majority of examples seem to be sad war movies so ....I'd say 'The Atonement' without spoiling the whole movie all I can say is that it is about a young girl who in a fit of jealousy falsely accuses a man of rape when he doesn't reciprocate her crush on him. This leads him to be sent to the front lines in the army. Unsure why, but he was wealthy so I guess otherwise he would of gotten an officer job away from battle, it's not really explained. It's a really sad movie though.
