Forum URL: (private) In other forums of mine, I managed to make the navigation menu and banner stretch across the whole forum, but I'm not sure where or what the code is to it - I forgot what I did. Any help is appreciated!
(also, I did try adding
#navigation-tree {
width: (anynumberhere)px; }
but it did not work. Only worked for making it smaller.)

When you set the Forum URL: to private, the only people who can know which forum you're talking about are the ProBoards staff. That prevents the rest of us from being able to fully assist you. So I'll be talking in general terms rather than specific to your situation with this particular forum.
You seem to be interchanging terms. The Navigation Menu and Navigation tree are two different things. Which of these two are you trying to affect?
Whenever a container is within a container (div, table cell, list, etc), the maximum width will always be limited to the width of the container(s) in which it is placed. You may need to look beyond the styling applied to the container to the styling applied to container(s) in which it is placed.

Oh sorry! I cannot remember the original forum, but here is the one I would like it on: rats-that-strike.proboards.com and I am trying to adjust the Navigation Menu. Don't know where the tree part came in. And, oohh, I see what you mean, the only problem is that I don't know what container it is in to change it. Thank you so much for the help and replying!!

The container in which the Navigation Menu exists on that forum spans the full width of the page. At least it does so in the default theme that guests can see.
