Is there a code that will let users click on my banner at the top and return to the main page? I hadn't used Proboards in awhile and got used to the way Tapatalk works where you click on the banner and return to the main page. Is there a headers/footers code that will allow me to do that?

Clicking a ProBoards banner already does take you back to the main page.. At least it does on all the forums I'm a member of.. Including here.

Is there a code that will let users click on my banner at the top and return to the main page? I hadn't used Proboards in awhile and got used to the way Tapatalk works where you click on the banner and return to the main page. Is there a headers/footers code that will allow me to do that? Hi l a v a l i g h t A link to your forum is always helpful.The coding is embedded in the forum software, but I suspect the settings you've chosen are preventing the link from being applied. Admin Home> Themes> Theme Manager> Theme Settings> stay on the Settings tab. If you choose Display Forum Title, the text will be the clickable link. If you choose Display Logo, whatever image you've uploaded or linked as the Forum Logo on the Images tab will serve as the clickable link. Important note: The Forum Logo is not the same as the background image you might have uploaded/linked in the Forum Banner section of the Visual Editor. That will not serve as a clickable link.
I think if you take the following steps your problem will be solved... Admin Home> Themes> Theme Manager> Theme Settings> click the Images tab. Select the desired theme in the dropdown to the right of the words Current Theme:Upload or link an image in the section marked Forum Logo. then click the Settings tab. then select Display Logo in the dropdown to the right of the words Forum Title: EDIT:Final step (thank you Scott ) Admin Home> Themes> Layout Templates> click on Forum Wrapper. Add the following item (highlighted in red) back into your Forum Wrapper. (A stock Forum Wrapper is shown below) <!DOCTYPE HTML> $[tag.html.open] <head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title>$[title] | $[forum.name]</title> $[head] </head> <body> {if $[maintenance_mode]} <div class="maintenance-header"> {if $[can.disable_maintenance]}<p>Finished with maintenance? $[disable_maintenance_link].</p>{/if} </div> {/if} <div id="wrapper"> <header> <div id="banner-container" role="banner"> <h2 id="banner"> $[forum.title] </h2> </div> <a id="navigation-skip" href="#content" accesskey="s" class="aria-hidden" title="Skip Navigation">Skip Navigation</a> <a href="#" accesskey="d" title="Open Menu" onclick="proboards.hotkeys.activate(Keys.d); return false;"></a> <div id="navigation-menu" class="ui-helper-clearfix"> <ul role="navigation"> {foreach $[navigation.menu]} <li> <a{if $[navigation.menu.active]} class="state-active"{/if} href="$[navigation.menu.href]"{if $[navigation.menu.accesskey]} accesskey="$[navigation.menu.accesskey]"{/if}> $[navigation.menu.name] {if $[navigation.menu.notification.total]} <div class="tip-holder" onclick="window.location='$[navigation.menu.notification.href]'; return false;"> <div class="tip-number">$[navigation.menu.notification.total]</div> <span class="tip"></span> </div> {/if} </a> </li> {/foreach} </ul> <p id="welcome"> {if !$[current_user.is_member]} Welcome Guest. {if $[login_link] || $[register_link]} Please $[login_link]{if $[login_link] && $[register_link]} or {/if}$[register_link]. {/if} {else} <span>Welcome $[current_user.name].</span> $[logout_link] {/if} </p> </div> </header>
$[participated_threads_link]
{if $[navigation.tree]} <div id="navigation-tree"> $[navigation.tree] </div> {/if}
$[header]
<div id="content" role="main"> {if $[notice]} <div class="container"> <div class="title-bar"><h2>$[notice.title]</h2></div> <div class="content pad-all cap-bottom"> $[notice.message] </div> </div> {/if} $[content] $[shoutbox] </div>
$[footer] </div> {if $[is_mobile_browser]} <br /><p class="center mobile-view-prompt">Switch to the $[mobile_switch_link].</p> {/if} </body> </html>
But this is just a guess because I don't have a link to your forum.

But this is just a guess because I don't have a link to your forum. I took a quick look at their recent posts, and they gave this as his site in another post from yesterday.

Retread, you're providing a correct solution, however it won't work because they removed the $[forum.title] variable from the Forum Wrapper layout template. (I'm guessing to have the forum title not display in the banner, rather than using the simple dropdown selector in the theme's settings.)

(I'm guessing to have the forum title not display in the banner, rather than using the simple dropdown selector in the theme's settings.) Thank you kindly, Scott . EDIT: I did some experimentation. Without the $[forum.title] variable, the Page Source shows this: <div id="wrapper"> <header> <div id="banner-container" role="banner"> <h2 id="banner"> </h2> </div> With that variable in place but with the wrong forum settings the Page Source show this: <div id="wrapper"> <header> <div id="banner-container" role="banner"> <h2 id="banner"> <a id="logo" href="/"></a> </h2> </div> With nothing between the <a></a> , a link is being created but there's nothing to click on.

If the page given earlier is yours, you could just use a click event on the banner. In the Layout Templates, under the Forum Wrapper, change this line:
... to this: That will take you back to the homepage when you click on the banner area.
