Hi,
I'm looking to create a role-playing forum, and would like to be able to include a fictional calendar. So, for example, if I wanted to, I could start the calendar in January 1800, and then have it automatically progress by a month every four hours or something like that.
Is there anything out there that could help me?
Thanks

Hey, sorry to be a nuisance, but if anyone could give any help on this, it would be really appreciated. Thanks.

greysquirrel, I think more info is needed. You stated this as a fictional calendar. Does each month have the same number of days, or are they the same as a real calendar? Do leap years exist? Does the calendar just keep going endlessly (changing the date after every x amount of time), or does it stop and reset at some point? Does this need to look like an actual calendar, or would the "date" inside a container suffice? Details are needed. Coders take time out from their own schedule to do these things, but the last thing any coder wants to do is have to rework the code because details were missing. Some coders may not make changes to add / edit something if it's not the details aren't there initially. With the approach of V6, I don't think there's many coders who are willing to take on a major task - especially since it will most likely have to be rewritten to work on V6. In any case, the lack of details in your OP is not likely going to get a coder to write something up based on what you have - basically, all there is to go on is: - able to set starting year - days increment after x amount of real time That's not much to go on, honestly.

Firstly, thank you for replying! I'm not actually bothered about days - they don't need to be measured. All I want the calendar to do is move forwards one month at set real-time intervals (ie. once every four hours). And 12 months per year, as per the normal calendar, with the normal month names (January, February etc.).

I've got a priority project that I need to complete first, so I won't commit to this in case someone gets to it before I do. If no one has taken it up after I've completed my project, then I'll see what I can do.
