Is there a code/plugin that can move the 'like' button so it sits 'before' the 'reply' button please ?

Is there a code/plugin that can move the 'like' button so it sits 'before' the 'reply' button please ? If you meant to say "before the 'quote' button", yes. If not, I'd need to see how you're putting a reply button in the post. In a plain vanilla theme, Admin Home> Themes> Layout Templates> then click Thread, then select the Post List tab. You'll see a section that looks like this: <div class="controls"> $[post.quote_button] $[post.edit_button] $[post.likes.button] $[post.select_options] </div> You can put the quote, edit, and like buttons in whatever order you prefer.

Hi - Thank you for reply Retread
sorry, I forgot about the code/plugin I have on that puts reply button in every post.
Current button layout = WMI . SFS . Reply . Quote . Edit . Like - then options cog
While I'd prefer Like to go 'before' Reply - if it 'needs' to go after - that's ok.
Re: the 'In a plain vanilla theme' - is there some reason for this - I'm curious as I've added other codes and plugins with my own theme on.

Current button layout = WMI . SFS . Reply . Quote . Edit . Like - then options cog While I'd prefer Like to go 'before' Reply - if it 'needs' to go after - that's ok. Alright then! Knowing which plugins you're using makes a big difference. From what you've described, you have the IP Lookup 0.0.7 L plugin and the Reply Button In Posts And Recent Posts installed. And you have them installed in that order. A quick explanation of how those plugins are placing their buttons, then on to what you can do to get close to what you want. Both those plugins are keying off the $[post.quote_button] variable. And they're placing their buttons before the Quote button. Since the IP lookup plugin is first, it places its buttons before the Quote button. The Reply in Posts then places its button before the Quote button. That means it is after the IP lookup buttons. So ... If you change the sequence of buttons in your Post List layout like this: <div class="controls"> $[post.likes.button] $[post.quote_button] $[post.edit_button] $[post.select_options] </div> Your staff who have power to see the IP addresses will see their buttons in this order: Like . WMIP . SFS . Reply . Quote . Edit - then options cog Your regular members will see their buttons in this order: Like . Reply . Quote . Edit - then options cog

Thank you Retread - this works great. Even though it's not next to the Reply for Staff, it is still better placed and I'm happy with it I just need to remember to make the change for each theme. Much appreciate your help
