98% of the time, I remember my dreams in vivid detail. So much so, that I sometimes confuse my dreams with what's happened in real life! I also experience lucid dreaming, when I'm aware that I'm dreaming.
If I'm having a lucid nightmare, I've taught myself how to wake up. I shake my head vigorously and shout "I want to wake up!" It never fails. I've taught my children/grandchildren to use the same technique.
Experiences/thoughts?

Not always, but most times I remember them. Some are really odd, like people from different stages in my life showing up in other places I know they would never be, or will be in the future. I sometimes have close to nightmares, however I really never get that scared to call them nightmares. I occasionally have a dream over and over in the same night even though I have gotten up and used the bathroom. I think the ones I have over and over again the same night just means my mind is fixed on something in real life.

When I was hyperthyroid I would remember 3-5 dreams a night. Now that I've been treated, I can remember maybe one a night, if that.

Generally, I remember them. Sometimes I can even influence them.

I always find that I wake up in the best mood the more dreams I can remember. Yesterday, I woke up with memories of a dream where I was scammed and then found out that my computer was heavily infected with malware, yet I felt great. Today, I woke up only feeling pretty dang good; alas, I could only remember one dream (although I think it was a more positive dream than the previous night's).

Even though I can remember a lot of my dreams, I had a series of many dreams with my maternal grandmother's house in it. They tend to be associated with a lot of weird and strange things such as things that seemed to look like they could be codes to something, but who the heck knows what. Also, many of those dreams had this kid who is a fox in them called Kane, and I have managed to recall enough of his appearance in them back in to draw this sketch drawing of him.

Depends on the dream really, I don't know about anybody else but if I am having a good/interesting dream and suddenly wake up, to go to the loo, drink of water, hear a noise etc I can go back to sleep and continue on with the dream I was having when I suddenly woke up before.

I regularly have dreams of my maternal grandparents home too...which actually involve rooms which they never had. I keep finding these non existent secret passages and rooms, but in the dream they are familiar. I love Kane. I hope he was nice! I too used to have a dream [nightmare actually] when I was around 2-3. It involved a character that I called 'The Mack with Stilts'. I can picture him now, I'll have to draw him one day for you!

In some of my dreams, I may be at Grandma's house, walk through a doorway, and then be at my Aunt's old house. Doorways are a trigger for change in my dreams at least.

I'm not sure what you are referring to that is so freaky, but I hope it is not Kane as he is not freaky at all. I love Kane. I hope he was nice! I too used to have a dream [nightmare actually] when I was around 2-3. It involved a character that I called 'The Mack with Stilts'. I can picture him now, I'll have to draw him one day for you! Yeah, Kane is definitely nice. Turns out that he is a spirit after having the dreams looked at by a seer back then, and I ended up having a three foot custom plush animal made to look like him as show in this picture. If you are wondering about his shirt and the necklaces, his shirt ended up getting the Todd Family Coat of Arms put on it since I used to have the last name Todd when I was little, which of course means fox. And the necklaces are hematite and rose quartz in which hematite is for protection and rose quartz is for love, since the Kane spirit from my maternal grandmother's house is now attached with this plush.
P.S. I used to be charged $80US for each three foot plush this plush maker made for me, but ended up losing them when they were going to charge me $400US for the next plush.

I remember scenes pretty well and sometimes the whole dream but often my dreams are so weird they dont make sense to me even if do remember them. A few times I realised its a dream but never managed to control any of it.

I tend to remember dreams sometimes. No definite pattern to the dreams I remember vs. not though.
