Thanks for the info. Also, please note that I had a pet dog that I remember with great affection.
Of course I did not let him lick my face because was in the habit, asall male dogs are, of licking his gonads.
I also owned turtles parakeets and canaries. Cats? Never owned one but I admire their feline beauty. I had an online girlfriend who was always telling me about her cats and dogs and a horse she once had and I wrote poetry in reference to her pets which she found very pleasing. So I am definitely not a pet hater simply because I point out a possible hazard to human health relation to pets.
About dog saliva, I did see that part but considered it irrelevant to cat saliva which is described entirely different.
About cats saliva PERHAPS being the same? Well, taking that risk is a personal matter and I would never try to impose my personal choices on others. It’s like skydiving. Some are willing to risk it because to them it is worth the risk and some are not.
The only area I would insist would be if a woman enters an intimate relationship with me. Then I would not want to get intimate if she is covered in cat or dog spittle and would expect her to tell me if she is so I can make an informed decision.
Also, if the person works in a food industry such as waitress, or cook, any other industry or job that involves close contact with others, such as dentistry, dental assistant, hairdresser, massage, or chiropractic, then not being covered in cat or dog saliva becomes essential.
BTW
I recently saw a documentary about this lady who dined in a place where this person worked and the person was infected with certain parasitic worms that ultimately lodge in the brain. The person did not wash her hands after defecating, as required, touched the customer's food, the customer trustingly ate it, and found herself with a brain-worm infestation.
The treatment removed MOST of the worms except for one which was not removable without harming her. So she has to live with that worm in her brain and be under constant medication to keep it from being too active.
But within those restrictive parameters, each person is free to choose as he wishes.
Kind Regards
