"Unstuck Politics: A place to discuss the topics of the day with your friends of tomorrow"
"We will build a community of people who want to spend their time together sharing their experiences and points of view. A community of people more interested in helping people up than dragging people down. A community where authority and responsibility are shared by all who want them. "
We are a cool leftish community, that was drawn into exile from a bigger poker forum. Topics are: politics (in the politics section) and everything else in the other topic section. Although the majority of currently users are leftish, also pro-Trump crowd is welcome, as long as everyone remains civil.

here is an excerpt from one of my last posts. It shows what this forum is doing for my life:
I think long term forum participation works only if it somehow improves your life. It doesn't work if it is plain swamping in troll games or so... 27 said somewhere: "noone cares". But the thing is that no one will invest time in something about no one cares somehow. It has to make sense to keep your attention focused and to make you want to invest your time in all that.
What are ways forum participation has improved my life? What of that can't be covered by a blog? And what can I contribute to keep that up?
- It increases my self awareness. The variety of feed-back I got on the forums, I would never have received in RL. It is also basically impossible to get it in a blog, because blogging is a lot more one way street and people are a lot more hesitant to say something negative in comments to a blog. The things I learn about social interaction, new behaviour patterns I see here.... It is endless. Last one is a very cool one from SA in the software thread. I definitely will try to look more than just meme game from him up.
- I learn new stuff: My participation in the comitees hasn't moved things much forward for the community but did it for me. I learned a lot of new stuff about forums software, hosting, some programming and also how business things work.
- I get new ideas: My interactions on 2+2 and here make me curious about USA and Canada. Normally I am not so into travelling, but that is one of the ideas from all that.
- I have some social pressure in the right direction: Fitness and working out stuff. Crunchyblack, Johnny, Loden Pants, LoL, SuB totally pressure me in the right direction with every post about their work-out endeavours. It helps.
- edit: Posting here makes me think more about grammar.
