Hello,
I need help on the "Tropical Paradise" theme. The theme changer is there. There is a blue/purple shadowing around the shoutbox and the borders of the containers. How do I get rid of the shadows? I went to the style sheet and looked for border shadows and changed to the peach background, but that didn't get rid of the blue. I would like the border to look better and stand out if possible.
Hope it makes sense, if not please ask?
Thanks Much! Dazzal

Hi Dazzal In the style sheet for that theme you'll find a section that looks something like this: .container{margin-bottom:10px;color:#186742;-webkit-box-shadow:rgba(161, 190, 219, 0.78) 0px 0px 45px;-moz-box-shadow:rgba(161, 190, 219, 0.78) 0px 0px 45px;box-shadow:rgba(161, 190, 219, 0.78) 0px 0px 45px;}
Comment it out and that should get rid of the shadows. If it removes the shadow in some area that you actually want it, you'll need to be more specific about where you apply it. As it is right now, it's targeting anything with the class container

What you posted above I took completely out of the style sheet to see what it would like it, and it did remove the shadowing. Then, I would need to add a border around the shoutbox. I will work on this Tuesday. I added the code back for now. Thanks! Dazzal

Hey Dazzal , sorry about the ambiguity. In coding parlance, when one says "comment out" they mean remove the effectiveness of something by turning it into a comment. In CSS, /* opens a comment and */ closes it. Changing: .container{margin-bottom:10px;color:#186742;-webkit-box-shadow:rgba(161, 190, 219, 0.78) 0px 0px 45px;-moz-box-shadow:rgba(161, 190, 219, 0.78) 0px 0px 45px;box-shadow:rgba(161, 190, 219, 0.78) 0px 0px 45px;}
to: /* .container{margin-bottom:10px;color:#186742;-webkit-box-shadow:rgba(161, 190, 219, 0.78) 0px 0px 45px;-moz-box-shadow:rgba(161, 190, 219, 0.78) 0px 0px 45px;box-shadow:rgba(161, 190, 219, 0.78) 0px 0px 45px;} */ turns it into a comment and renders it ineffective.

Thanks Retread. I'm not versed in coding language. It's removed. It looks the same to me, compared to me erasing that whole area last night. How do I edit the theme, so that the shoutbox has a border all around it?

Okay, Dazzal Put this in the bottom of your Style Sheet: /* Shoutbox Border */ @shoutbox_border: 15px ridge #d4a086; @shoutbox_border_radius: 15px 15px 15px 15px; .shoutbox {border:@shoutbox_border; border-radius:@shoutbox_border_radius} You can manually change the values used in the variables @shoutbox_border and @shoutbox_border_radius, OR you can use the Visual Editor Builder to add two new rows in the Shoutbox section. That will make adjustments more convenient in the long run.
