So, I give up... How do I get this to work? I seriously have 2 Forum-skins that this works fine on... Why for the life of me does it not work on this other forum? NOTE: These are 3 different proboard sites.... So here's Forum 1 Skin-theme With The Div in Front Working Fine CSS .link2::first-letter {
color: #9A1515; }
.link2:hover::first-letter {
color: #020202; }
#board-7 div.link2 { color: green; text-decoration: underline; -moz-text-decoration-style: wavy;
} #board-7 div.link2::first-letter {
color: blue; }
Forum Skin 2 Without the Div Working Fine Css .boardlistlink a{ font-family: 'Eater', cursive; font-size:20px; color: #FFD685; } .boardlistlink:hover a{ font-family: 'Finger Paint', cursive; font-size:22px; color: #000; text-shadow: 0px 4px 6px #debd00,0px 0px 2px white,0px 2px 5px orange;} #board-26 .boardlistlink a{ font-family: 'Great Vibes', cursive; color: green; font-size:35px; margin-top:5px; } I know Both Those versions work.. So why can I not get them to work with this Css? Forum Skin 3 - The one She's working on sheeps-wool.boards.net/CSS .bigboxie { background: linear-gradient(to right, #170c0c, #1f1e1f,#170c0c); border: 25px solid #170c0c;padding:0px;border-right: 20px dotted #170c0c;width:100%; } #board-1 div.bigboxie { background: linear-gradient(to right, black, #1f1e1f,#170c0c);
}
#board-1 .bigboxie { background: linear-gradient(to right, black, #1f1e1f,#170c0c);
} --- Points Upward, Board Isn't Black.. still red-grey --- Attachments:

Sorry, I don't understand what you're trying to do. Can you clarify what's not working, exactly, in your third example?

The background gradient isn't changing
if you want I could change it to regular background-color if it'd make the code look simpler..

New Css to simplify the issue... .bigboxie { background: white;
} #board-1 div.bigboxie { background: black;
}
#board-1 .bigboxie { background: black;
} I want that White to be black.

And are you trying to change the background on one specific board?

Ok. The reason it's not working is because your boards don't have IDs. #board-1, or any other board ID, doesn't exist in the HTML, so your CSS isn't selecting anything.
In the default template, this is what wraps each individual board:
<tr id="$[board.content_id]" class="$[board.content_class]"> Note the id="$[board.content_id]". This is what normally generates #board-1, but it doesn't exist on your template.
If you add that, you should be able to style individual boards with CSS.

Ahh okay, must've deleted it somewhere along the line.
Now to just figure it out how to fit in there without breaking things.
Thank you for the help!

I'd add it to your <table class="bigboxie"> like this:
<table id="$[board.content_id]" class="bigboxie">
