Seen any good movies lately? What are some of your favorite and least favorite movies?
My favorite movie is The Neverending Story. And my least favorite has to be Street Fighter Legend of Chun-Li. That movie made me so mad.
The last good movie I watched was Logan. That was sad though, but the little girl, Laura, is awesome!

Love The Neverending Story...it was one of my children's favourites too! "Come any closer and I will rip you to shreds!"

THE NEVERENDING STORY is a classic. I love GROSS POINTE BLANK too. Last movie I saw that I would recommend: SHAZAM! I love the music in The Neverending Story, but I have never actually seen the movie. Recent watches include Paddington (which was EXCELLENT) and Johnny English Strikes Again (which I really enjoyed but may be annoying).

I haven't seen many movies recently but I did finally see Your Name, and that just tore my heart out. Absolutely phenomenal movie in so many ways.

Glad to see some Neverending Story love in this thread. THE NEVERENDING STORY is a classic. I love GROSS POINTE BLANK too. Last movie I saw that I would recommend: SHAZAM! I actually thought that movie looked stupid seeing the previews, but my brother says it's actually pretty good.

Absolutely love the never ending story, as for recent movies haven’t really seen all that many new ones. I do plan on watching captain marvel, end game as soon as I can. Going to a movie theater is way to expensive, I say that because you spend $20+ on your ticket then another $20+ on snacks. The previews take up more time then the actual film, then you have the commentators that verbally criticize every little detail that’s out of place.

It's not new, but I recently watched the new JUMANJI movie. Well worth it. It's made me excited for the upcoming sequel.

Some old-time movies I could watch over and over again like Doris Day in Calamity Jane or Judy Garland and the Wizard of Oz.
Not so old is First Blood with Sylvester Stalone or Ghost, still a lot more though.

My husband, I watched end game last night, it was good. Predictable but good. Then again most superhero movies are predictable in certain areas.

My favorite is Eight Men Out and this year is the 100th anniversary of the Black Sox scandal, it's a movie about the Chicago White Sox throwing the World Series.

The most recent movie I saw would be The VVitch. It seems to be somewhat of a polarizing film—particularly among religious groups that likely didn’t pay close attention once they decided they were already offended—but I’d recommend it.
You just have to make peace with the fact that it will never give you more information than you need to make the story work. At times the film might seem a bit basic and lacking, but mulling it over after the credits began to roll, I realized I saw as much as an audience member as was necessary to see the story from the perspective of the family. They’re isolated and paranoid, facing the struggles of frontier life from a Puritan perspective with some rather extreme stresses piled on top, and the audience is only granted to two very short scenes that reveal anything any members of the family wouldn’t be privy to in an organic way. The story was effectively executed.
Plus, I just love to live deliciously.

A lot of the new movies have been released early on streaming platforms now that the cinemas are all closed. I watched The Invisible Man last and have to say it was a massive disappointment. I like Elizabeth Moss & expected it to be a seriously tense sci fi horror as it is billed. It was rubbish. I have seen washing lines with more tension in them. The only bit that made me jump was when she kicked the dog's bowl & that was in the first 5 minutes.

This is an old thread re-opened, I made a similar thread here, maybe my new thread should be merged with this old thread?

Over the last few days, I watched all three JUMANJI movies. Time well spent.
