Off-page SEO, How to Cross Borders with SEO

Hello ProBoards,

I've been thinking of creating content for my upcoming book, but, to tell you the truth, recently, I've been also thinking about traffic and lead generation. I discovered Fiverr network of freelancers who e.g. do good work, independently in finding influencers, quality platforms etc with low cost, to actually, as Google says, get off-page SEO. And this is my basic concern, for today.

Do you happen to know that if somebody, submits a site to a "web directory" or, bubbling, anything else, and shows this "gate" to friends and family... Is it a site that we want to visit? Or are these sites possibly for web crawling and huge lists of sites and other stuff, visited by whom? Meaning, quality of a backlink that boosts performance is better say an influencer, but do we need to know e.g. page rank, be shown beautiful content etc or, perhaps, there are other purposes of such websites?

Moreover, I got to know things about Black Hat SEO and that PageRank may not mean everything after all, at least for the math nerds, but how can we generally evaluate what is being proposed to us? Google has made strict articles related with manipulating performance and low quality links. Is there a way to know and judge?

I guess we may not be Flatliners after all, right?

The way I see it, right now, it's kinda like: Only God knows, right?

I am just thinking that syndication is great way to start. There's also people talking about 500 influencers on "business will be promoted on top rated platforms, social media platforms, blogs, forums and also on directory websites, that contains influencers who are ready to make impact on your business".

If we add to this recipe, links, interlinks, books, titles, etc, when will Mobile Armageddon come?

Does anyone know? How to read between the lines, of course!
