I would recommend changing your user legend on the forum home page + make sure the colour for admin, gmod, and mod are unique. If the colours are too similar, this will create confusion as to whether or not someone is a staff member.

May I ask what plugin request I saw but didn't reply? ok Todge this is what you want support.proboards.com/thread/658442/request-pluginyou liked peter's post and he posted the the thread which i posted my request and that's mean you saw the request! sorry todge will you make that? Ahh, Nope, that means I agree with what peter said about duplicate threads, I didn't take much notice of the request itself. I'll take a look, but if Peter doesn't think it's worth the bother there must be a good reason.

2. The design of your default theme can be improved. I think you will improve on your design as you learn more about ProBoards, but if you're interested in learning more about design you can post in the Design board here on Support to get some help. Kami here is the question. what i should call the subject and what i should write to get help?

Given that, they would have a much better idea of how much work a plugin like that would take. I know nothing about JavaScript (relatively speaking, as I am picking up a little bit here and there - but not to the extent I could write any kind of plugin yet). If I recall correctly, you are just learning JavaScript. That would certainly put you ahead of me, but if an experienced coder, like Peter or Todge, told me that would be a lot of work for something that has an easier solution, I would (personally) listen to that. Peter gave you two other options on how that could be done. His second option, he said, he could write up in about five minutes. It does require some setup on your part, but should we not do what we can to help them? Why request the more difficult option when there are easier options presented? These are just my thoughts and opinions.

Kami here is the question. what i should call the subject and what i should write to get help? The subject to any thread should always give a short summary of your opening post. So decide what you need help with, then in a short sentence tell us what it is. If you want specific help with something say something like, "Need help with _____________". If you are looking for general help, like where to get started learning about design, say something like, "How do I learn about design?" or something to that effect. On that note, please be sure that this thread does not go too much further off-topic, or the PB staff will lock it. This thread is for getting opinions about your forum; if you want to discuss with Kitty Katt, Peter, and Todge about the plugin request you made, do so in that thread or via PM.

CrazyBoy , @stormcloud70 is saying you don't need to fill up your forum and rather focus to make it good. About the waiting, it's could be possible that your forum can blow up in a day, trust me, it doesn't happen a lot. You have to grow your forum so it will good at the end. EDIT: oof I didn't read it though

CrazyBoy , I would respectfully suggest that you might be trying to do too much, too quickly. Most new admins start with a basic forum, and learn how to improve it slowly, just changing a few colours to make their forum look nice, and let the forum grow gradually. A plugin might be added if there is a real need for it, and sometimes a bit of extra code might be needed, but not often. New features are added only when there's a reason to add them. A simple, friendly forum might not look spectacular, and it might not have hundreds of members, but it will normally attract friendly people, and it won't need a lot of rules, or an army of moderators to help run it. Many, possibly most forums only have an administrator and no moderators, even with a large number of members. If you are careful about who you accept as new members, you are less likely to have problems later, though you will have less members, of course. I understand that you are keen and eager to see your forum become big and successful, but a large staff, lots of rules, and fancy plugins and code will not automatically make it happen. What makes a forum attractive to potential new members, and keeps established members interested, is the conversations and the subject matter. If you don't have interesting topics, and genuine, open and friendly discussions about those topics, even if they get a bit heated sometimes, you won't keep your members, however many fancy features your forum has. Concentrate more on your topics, and less on your plugins, rules and moderator ranks... Your forum looks fine as it is, maybe you should let it settle for a while, and see what happens.

Nobody knows what to add when they set up their first forum. That's what being an admin is all about, CrazyBoy . You have to learn for yourself what works and what doesn't work, and you won't do that by constantly asking other people, or always relying on your moderators. You need to start thinking up your own ideas, trying them, and finding out for yourself if they are suitable, otherwise you will never become a successful admin... You have to gain your own experience of running a forum, and that takes time...
