It arrives tonight! Is anyone else excited? Or, at least, moderately interested? Here are my bold predictions for the season: - Cleveland will live up to their hype and win at least 6 games
- New England will win more games during the regular season than they will during the post-season
- Every team in the AFC South will finish with an 8-8 record
- That Norwegian kicker that the Vikings cut will win league MVP and eventually become the next Adam Vinatieri
- Eli Manning will defeat Tom Brady in the Super Bowl
- Antonio Brown will never, ever find an acceptable helmet
Tonight kicks off Season 100 with a highly anticipated Packers/Bears matchup. Here's what happened when those teams met in week 1 last season: Discuss.

I'm excited! Redskins open the season at the Eagles Sunday, and I'm not even sure who their starting QB is. I thought it would be Case Keenum, but it seems like that's up in the air now. Wish Alex Smith was back, but he may never be at this point.
I know if the Skins don't finish at least 8-8, Jay Gruden is probably out of a job. Would just like to have a decent season, anything else is a bonus.

I'm going to sit back quietly for this season (or at least most of it) - I'm feeling a bit conflicted and truthfully, a little worried.

The Eagles have a tremendously talented roster and are playing at home against a Redskins team that's starting Case Keenum at QB and resting Adrian Peterson. Really interested to see how the Eagles manage to bungle this one. UPDATE: Dang, they just didn't have it in them. They tried their hardest in the first half, but in the end, their offense was just too competent. UPDATE 2: So there goes my interest in following the Jaguars this season. UPDATE 3: lol Browns.

How about those Ravens yesterday? Has there ever been a score higher than that???

What do you all think about the possible first female football player? www.sportsretriever.com/football/is-this-going-to-be-the-nfls-first-female-player/*edited to add* Oops my bad -there was an earlier female pro player ---- Who was the first female NFL player? Patricia Palinkas is on record as being the first female professional football player, having played for the Orlando Panthers of the Atlantic Coast Football League in 1970.

This is the best I've felt about a loss in a long time. Now, if only the Eagles could remember how to play football in the first half of games...

Ok, Skins lost again, and to the Cowboys no less. But, what makes me mad is that last week Adrian Peterson was benched for the second year running back Derrius Guice.
Now, this would have been cool if Peterson had turned in a crappy performance last season, but he didn't. He ran for over 1000 yards and was named the Redskins Offensive Player of the Year. So, last week Gruden benches him in favor of Guice, and Peterson didn't even suit up. Oh, and Guice ran for 18 yards against the Eagles. I run for more than that from my neighbors.
Peterson did play in week two in the loss to the Cowboys, and yeah that sucks. But what sucks worse is that the coach is clueless. Jay Gruden coached and played Arena Football, how he got a job as an NFL head coach, especially under "I'll Pay for a Trophy" Snyder, is beyond me. The Skins are on the way to having another crap year, with arguably the most healthy and best offensive line they've had in a while. Case Keenum is looking pretty good, and the defense isn't terrible. But, with the calls being made by Gruden, they continue to lose...just like last season, and the season before. Gruden needs to go, and I'm actually rooting for the Skins to lose, just to have it happen.
There we go, rant over.

Now ANOTHER woman is making accusations? Why don't these women go to the authorities at the time of the attack? I hate being disloyal to my 'sisters' but these kinds of things just seem suspicious to me. *hides head in shame* Besides, that isn't what I meant. I was wondering if me asking questions of you guys was a no-no?

Kaare Vedvik? In his preseason debut for the Vikings, Vedvik missed two field goals from 43- and 54-yards out. He was released on August 31. One day later, on September 1, the Norweigan kicker signed with the New York Jets and made the roster. In the opening game of the season against the Buffalo Bills, Vedvik missed an extra point attempt and a 45-yard field goal; the Jets lost the game 17β16. He was released from the Jets September 10, 2019. Vedvik as MVP? If he achieves MVP, it will be for the team he's playing against. LOL.
