I'm ditching the hair dye and embracing my grey. Going grey doesn't mean 'letting yourself go', it's about 'letting go' and having the confidence to be your natural self Letting go of the fear of looking old, letting go of the 2 monthly need to touch up my roots. I've decided to go 'cold turkey'. I'm not having my head shaved/cut short/blending my grey with tints etc. I may have a badger's barnett for a while, but so be it! Going grey seemed horrific when I was younger, all those granny perms, and blue rinses :/ However, these days, naturally grey hair can look stunning, with the right length and cut! Wish me luck! How do you feel about going grey naturally? I'm feeling liberated personally! Don't get me wrong, I've always been independent, but there's something about getting older and feeling comfotable in your skin. Thoughts?

Go for it!
My family tends to go grey early. I first noticed gray flecks when getting a haircut when I was 21. >.< Thankfully it's slowed a lot, but I know that's how it's going to be. I'll go straight from looking ten years younger than I am to silver-fox!

The problem is, is that I have to grow out at least three feet of gray! At least my gray seems to be blending in with my (dyed) blonde! You should see all that I've found on Pinterest about women and gray hair. It is really heartening.

I'm doing the same thing, too. But for the past six months I've been using a temporary color just until I got past the hard edge phase. Now I'm letting the temporary color fade.

I tend to use 'going gray' as a pick up line.
Yes, I am still single, how could you tell?

Ooh good idea --- I wish that would work for me. I've been at it for about 6 months too, but I only have maybe three or four inches grown out.

I don't worry about it. At least it's hair!

i've never personally bought into being worried about signs of aging myself, and i think grey hair is cool honestly

Maybe this is a blonde thing to say, but I haven't really given it much thought or worry. I guess I always kind of figured it wouldn't be drastically different from what I've always been used to. Either way it's definitely a look, so I'm not too worried about it. The only thing is it took me a long while to like the color hair I have now, so I hope I don't go grey just as I'm enjoying this confidence haha.

I feel like I'm missing out. I guess I shopuld be thankful with not a grey hair in sight at 43, but old school friends of mine or guys in my year from school either have a full head of grey hair or are bold as a coot by now! I can't help thinking "Shouldn't I be a silver fox by now?!!!" Or feel like I'm missing out somehow If it happens it happens, when it does - it does and I'll embrace it. I still have a good head of dark hair for now.
