If you mean the attachment feature, large images can quickly eat up the free package depending upon the size of your forum. You might want to install an image upload plugin. support.proboards.com/thread/657848/vgy-me-image-upload-plugin?page=1&scrollTo=7195003

You have an attachment limit of 200MB, once you have reached that, you can either pay to increase the storage per month or install a plugin, (which is free) so you can upload photos to an external site and then post the link to the photo on the forum between [img][/img] tags.

If you are admin,go to upgrades section to increase storage.
But using a hosting site,for free,is a better option.

You also have the option to delete older attachments, should you no longer need them. This will free up some space.
admin > upgrades > file storage > manage under attachments
You should see a list of all the attachments on your forum, along with the option to delete.

robomont to answer your question, the 200MB attachment storage limit is for the life of the forum. If you choose to purchase additional attachment storage for the forum, it would be a monthly subscription and the monthly amount is based on the plan level you choose. As suggested above, you may wish to consider using an image host and then embed your images with a link. There is no limit for adding images in this manner. Our Help Guide article of External Resources has a list of forum friendly image hosts.

So technically speaking,by proboards own rules,I can start a new forum and use it as a free image hoster then link it to the other proboards forum.thus not leaving proboards and having free image hosting at the second proboards forum of 200mb? Is this correct?

Is this correct? You want to start a new forum just for image hosting? I suppose you could but that seems like a LOT more effort than simply using one of the available image hosting plugins. The attachment system will continue to be nonfunctional on your main forum and will doubtless be more confusing for users. It's also worth noting that if you attempt to use PB as a general image host for linking images or content elsewhere (outside of PB), it's likely we'll ban the offenders service-wide.

Thing is,this is deep research.its taken 4 years on internet research and my owner of forum has years of writing.are you saying we should throw away our hard earned efforts for more space.thousands of hours were invested in these scientific studies.those images are evidence of homicide in some cases. Man this rough guys.i don't know.

You have lots of options.
