Getting people involved

First off, your new theme is GORGEOUS.

I wonder if your members are aware that automatic writing and free writing are different things. As a writer, I am aware of both, but maybe you can try to more thoroughly explain automatic writing as if the person visiting your forum has never heard of it before.

I don't really think your forum is asking anything of people other than to post. That's generally the only requirement of most forums. The only requirement of your forum seems to be that people understand the concept of automatic writing. I personally don't think many people outside of the writing community will be familiar with the term.

I read your announcement and I understand what you wrote. However, what if a member doesn't have a guitar pick? That's not something many people have lying around the house. Can we use a pen, our pointer finger with our eyes closed, or other inanimate objects? I know it might sound crazy, but new members will benefit from directions that are very spelled out, without being condescending. If guests are 100% sure they understand how to positively contribute to your forum, they are more likely to join.
