gidgetee , all you need to do is enable them (check them so they are available to members.) Go into ADMIN > THEMES > THEME MANAGER -- and click on the ones you want to make available to members. Those that are not clicked (checked) will not be available to them. Then the member when they want to change the theme -- they go into their profiles > EDIT PROFILE > SETTINGS and scroll down to where the FORUM THEME dropdown is. They can choose from that. You can make one default and that is what guests and those not logged in will see when clicking on your link the first time. Does that help you? Need anything else reply.

gidget follow that admin > themes > theme manager > Create New/Import New > Import An Existing Theme. Import the theme you'd like. Now you have multiple themes. To change between themes follow this Profile > Edit Profile > Settings "tab" Scroll a little bit down to reach a dropdown has your themes choose one.Click save changes and there you go. That does help?

When themes are checked it is available to the members. Nothing else you can do. Having a few up for members to choose from.
If you want to make it easy for them to choose from you can look for plug-ins like "Theme Changer" in the plug in section of your admin panel. And also "User Theme Display" that way the theme they are using will be either found easily using the theme changer or displayed in their mini-profile (user theme display).
