A third skin has come up, and I figured that it might be better to use this old thread rather than create a new one as far as skin judging goes. The third skin (for comparison with the other two) is here: www.fdball.proboards.com/It's still under construction, but my understanding is that all that is left are a few color adjustments and the removal of certain parts (such as that white bit on the front). The details on the top and the bottom relate to the games that the forum is based upon. Any particular opinion when compared to the "new" skin above (link is danballforum.proboards.com/ for reference)?

At the moment, our forum is having a bit of difficulty when it comes between deciding between two skins. First, the skins. This is the 'old' skin: danballforums.proboards.comThis is the 'new' one: danballforum.proboards.comThe new one is much easier to work with and loads much more quickly, plus it offers multiple color choices for those that dislike brown. However, many members have found the old one preferential. I know that the visitors of this board are good at judging skins, so I think that it would be good to get an opinion from you.

Forum URL: danballforum.proboards.comForum Name: Dan-Ball Forum Description: The forum is about a Japanese website called Dan-Ball, which hosts several Java applets. Desired Outcome of Rate: I wish to learn about how we can improve our forum, specifically our board layout, thread layout for assistance (help threads, getting started threads, etc) and general ease-of-use. We have an interesting moderation system, as rather than one single admin (which has worked out poorly for us in the past), we run on a system of oligarchy. The three triumvirates (myself and two other members) all have access to the administrative account and can use it when we deem fit. The forum is intended to be about Dan-Ball, but the main focus at the moment is on more general topics such as programming and forum games. Activity-wise, we are decent, with roughly 100 unique visitors per day. The focus of this thread is not the skin system, as I'll make a separate thread for that in the graphic design discussion board.

Huzzah! Thanks so much, I'd hug you but that would be rather hard over the internet.

Is there any way to retrieve important threads (or even undo the whole deletion) after a forum has been deleted? Forum is (rather, was) here: danballforums.proboards.com/index.cgiWe've made a successful transition to a new one during a coup thingy there (long story, there's a thread on it somewhere around here), and we really would like to be able to access some of the threads of the old forums. If it matters, new forums are here: danballforum.proboards.com/index.cgi
