Well, that's just a precaution but it's not really needed right now. I do have a firewall with my ISP. Then why do they sell Linux Antivirus Apps? If you do not have a firewall installed, then you are not that secure... (YES there IS a firewall for Linux)

Good choice. I'd pick myself up a copy to see how it compares to Kaspersky, but they only sell volume licenses. How are startup times with it enabled? They don't only sell volume licenses... My laptop: Anti-Virus: Symantec Client Security 10 (Norton AV Corp 10) Firewall: Symantec Client Security 10 (very much like the firewall included in Norton Internet Security) + personal router behind corporate firewall Anti-Spyware: I have quite a few different anti-spyware programs. All the basics like Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, Spysweeper, etc, plus a few more advanced ones like Hijack-This. One of my primary job functions used to be removing viruses and spyware, and other junk from computers, so I know a lot of the tricks. Well, that's just a precaution but it's not really needed right now. I do have a firewall with my ISP. Which firewall? iptables? SELinux? and there are anti-virus apps for Linux, but I wouldn't run one. I'm not that paranoid... yet.
