Dunno. It'd be fun to keep people in line, there's no denying that... But I know that people would start being like "omgz lolz stfu nessie locked my thread ima haxxor her!!!" and that would make me sad.

No. I'd have to be on alot and it seems pretty boring to have to be a Mod, and I wouldn't have the time anyways.

I kinda like it as things are now. If there was a shortage of mod then maybe, but as it is I can sit back and worry about my posts without worrying about everyone else. Plus if I was a mod, I'd have to read all the drivel I currently just skip over.

I'd have to think carefully about it:
1. Being a ProBoards Moderator can change how people react to you. You can't be expected to be everyone's friend and you really have to have a good heart and not take things personally.
2. The best mods create a "firm but fair" persona on the board and they know when it is time to step in amidst an arguement.
3. They must also be on the lookout for possible stalkers, parasites, and people who really are asking for help.
4. A thoughtful mod can sometimes make all the difference in whether someone remains a lurker, or comes out and begins posting.

I think I would accept it, and it would be a great responsibility and honor.

If I had more time on the computer, maybe. At the moment, though, if I were asked (which will never happen, no matter how short the mods are ), I'd still probably decline; just too much work.

I would decline. I enjoy being a regular member. But if i was staff i'd lock this thread in a heart beat.

I would enjoy being the moderator of General Talk. It would be a difficult job, but I would defenitely be up to it. It is really cool to see people's opinions and ideas on General Talk, as long as they are clean and on topic. It would be a good job to be able to "clean it up" for others so it can be an enjoyable experience for all.

Not a chance.
First I would recieve a TONE of "Congrats" PM's.
Then I would get all the "Hate Mail" PM's from people who think that they deserve the job over me.

Nearly every I lock would get me at least 3 PM's complaining and asking why I locked, Even tho I included a reason in the thread when I locked it.
I would also get several PM's thanking me for locking it.

I would wake up to a TONE of PM's wanting various things. Threads locked, Custom Titles, Special Favors, And complaints why I have not locked those threads yet.

More hate PM's.

Threads and PM's comparing me to Renegade, and how I suck as a Mod compaired to him.

General abuse because I am a staff member...
