CDs are 80 minutes or 700MB (whichever comes first), DVDs are 120 minutes or 4.7GB (whichever comes first). But you can't play DVDs in a normal CD player. If you have a portable DVD player, a DVD player in your PC, a dvd player on your PS2 or XBOX or TV, then sure you can stick it in there and play the music. But not in a normal cd player. And there's no way to fit more data onto one CD. Just use multiple CDs, they aren't costly. Depending on the video quality settings a DVD can holdc 4+ hours of video... Simular to a VHS tape and the speed settings, SP, LP, SLP/EP (2, 4, 6 hours)

I haven't burned anything with them yet

I haven't burned anything with them yet The default capicity is 120 minutes. It depends on the software you have. Nero for example has a setting (Hidden a bit) that let's you set the quality setting for videos. For example I just made a DVD in low quality that has 4.5 hours of Dr. Who on it!

And how does that low quality look on a big screen TV? The same as a video tape or VCD. I recorded it off of Cable so it is not perfect. But it will do for now. If your DVD burner supports DL (Dual Layer) media then you can spend about $30.00 for 3 DL disks that will hold 8 gig of data.

Ok so how can I fit so many songs? What program I need? Did someone say i need to make the files into a .mp3? And then have a CD player mp3 compatible?

You need a CD-Ripping app. WinAmp or Easy-CD-DA will convert an audio CD to MP3
Then you need a CD Burning app. I use Nero, but there are MANY apps out there.
