Hmmm, the mono green is a bit hard to digest, I realize that it is the matrix and all, but still, the tone is way to "green" mabye a good earthy tone to balance the whole thing out, something to the grayish tone, that would help balance out the mono green color, either that or use a good light combination of white and black I am not quite sure on the best awnser, but right now the green is kind of killing it for me, You shuold play off some of the color quality that you have going on in your images Might see about getting that banner expanded just a bit as right now it just falls short of your boards total length. As common practice I would see about getting the buttons (or icons if you will) in the info center changed over right now they are a bit off and detract from the overall quality of the look and feel of the forum, if you were to change them your forum would become more unique I was just thinking mabey a second gradient, that might be best You seem to be off to a good start, I wish you the best of luck

I have some good tips and suggestions by someone for nearly TWO MONTHS! I thank you for contributing and replying to my thread, Fullphaser. For that hiatus, I salute you and I'll give you some cookies. /me Acer hands Fullphaser some chocolate fudge cookies. Enjoy it! Now, it's off for commenting: a.) I can understand that the Green that is "Mono" is too greeny. Okay, what type of earthy tone should I put on there? Are you sure about gray? Green and gray sounds... good maybe. How would it balance? And what about light white or black? Something to add as an alternative? I would go for the Green and a Light Black type. What do you think? How is the green killing for you? You don't like the type of green? Like it's kinda dark? And what kind of colour quality should I play on my images? b.) Yeah, I can see. How can I expand my banner? Is it still good to use though? And how can I change the buttons/icons in the information center? I know I need it customized, but there is no one to help me. Who will help? And what type of buttons/icons should I request? Like I said before, I know that it isn't that good and it doesn't suit the forum, but yes, I need it customized as soon as possible. c.) A second gradient? Where should I put it and should I use the gradient that I'm using? d.) I'm sorta off to a good start. My forum has being around since June 23rd, 2003. That's over three years ago. Although I'm not too good at these things, I do need some assistance in forum arrangements and such. As always, I thank you for your suggestions and tips. Anyone else? I need help on them still and I want to improve it as best as possible!

Thanks for also liking the icons. c.) Thanks for liking the information box center. I appreciate it. d.) You don't like the colour scheme? Why? Because it's a bit hard to look at? Hmm... I can see the forum fine though. But, do you have any other colour scheme suggestions that I might take?

I really like it, but it all is just the same green! Can you make some of it a little lighter/darker or just plain green? I like it though!

I really like it, but it all is just the same green! Can you make some of it a little lighter/darker or just plain green? I like it though! This is considered a spam rate. The purpose of GOAYB is for members to help fellow members with their ProBoard(s) via suggestions, tips, ideas, ect. so that their boards will stand a better chance of success. Please read the [GOAYB Rules], specifically rule number 4 and also the [Everything You Need To Know] sticky. Here's a list of about [50 Spam Rates]. Does your rate look like any of those?

Is it really possible? Does it make it better to have other green blends? Well, I already have that though. And... like Snakeair said, you must be real constructive with your suggestions, but I'll take it though, but not by all means though. Anyways, does anyone have any more suggestions and improvements?

Hi Acer. I noticed that you mentioned (in a post that got moved through no fault of your own) that you were still looking for tips and feedback about your forum, so I hope you don't mind if I give you mine. 1. The green background colors with a medium gray text is a bit hard to read. Perhaps a brighter shade of gray? 2. Your old/new graphic has some odd white pixels around them, probably because they were designed to be displayed on a white background, not the green. It's an easy cleanup if you know someone with graphic skills. 3. Your board descriptions are very wordy, including things that could better be covered in a "sticky" post in each board. Having too much text there can be off-putting to potential members, especially since a lot of it is in the "don't do this" vein. 4. If a board hasn't had posts in years, it might be time to consolidate those posts into another board or put them in an archive board, so that on casual inspection the forum doesn't look inactive. For example, the last member of the month was 2006? It looks like you had decent activity at one point. A good starting point in refreshing a board is looking at why activity dropped off and work to keep that from happening in the future. Sometimes it's hard to be objective about something you've worked so hard on, but being honest about past issues can go a long way in growing your community. Good luck!
