I saw this in the news on Monday. Ok, this woman in USA is breeding felines to look exactly like tigers, but she has not quite perfected it yet. In this country, there are many homeless animals let alone cats. I do not know what she does with the rejects, but I do not think it is fair to the animals who unfortunately do not have homes. She never mentioned what she does with the "rejects", so to speak, but every time she was asked, she changed the subject. What do you think she should do to the animals who are not "perfect"? Personally, I think she should stop breeding altogether and instead encourage adoption for homeless animals.

I think she's fine in breeding. We're always going to have problems with homeless animals no matter how much we refocus our efforts. I do hope those animals are cared for and not killed as that would be tragic

That's what people do when they're trying to breed different types of animals. They won't just put down the 'rejects' they'd probably sell them.

I do hope those animals are cared for and not killed as that would be tragic From the sound of it she seems to be un a hurry. The major issue is that she will have dozens or even hundreds of rejects when she is done. What the potential problem is, what is happening to the imperfect cats? Are they givin away to good homes? Are they sold as pets? Are they being sold/givin to a lab for experiments? Are they being put down? Are they being dumped on a local shelter?
If she is not doing the first 2, then she is treating the cats as garbage. She is tossing out the ones that are not going to help her get tiger looking cats. -MarvinRules

The bassett houd was an attempt at breeding a better hunting dog. and so on.
