I saw some websites and thought it'd be cool to learn how to make one.

My Internet Access (webtv) has a lack of being able to have any programs or download anythingthing so image making was out, and if I wanted to help out with proboards I needed to be a coder. Looking back on it, it was a wise choice because there are to many graphic creators on proboards and not enough coders

I saw Zanmato Designs database and thought "I can learn how to code so I won't ever need those stupid databases anymore, and I can fix my own bugs and problems".

What inspired me to code? I don't know just one day I got out notepad and wrote a code on it...

I got into coding in general due to the Support board here. Around July of 2003 I was helping in Support more than I was anything else (15+ hours in there somedays), so I learned HTML to make it a little easier.
Then I met AwesomeAndrew and got into Visual Basic due to him (he then kept me into it for the coming months).
I bought a $50 JS book because I saw Peter and Web making scripts at SSD and wanted to be like that. I saw how useful the scripts were and figured it'd make my life easier to know how to make them (what a disgraceful thought).
Anywho, the rest of the languages I know where learned at my own reasoning.

Well, I started HTML.. Started when I was first introduced into Proboards which was nearly a year ago.. Maybe almost a year and a half? Shrugs... Then i was looking into free forum scripts and blah... (PERL) I then tried to look more into perl and code, PFFT, didn't get no where far. Then I went to SolidSnakeDesigns.com.. Read a few tutorials.. Then made a PHP script. From there, I've always coded in PHP... I am learning javascript and it's getting easier each day. But yeah, I like PHP and Javascript the most out of any programming language.

I got into coding when I was around 11. I started to make simple games on the Macs at my school using HyperCard/HyperTalk. By the end of middle school I was creating one man shooters, pac man games, fully working sheet music editors and calculators. I got way further in HyperTalk than I am now in JS, of course it's a lot easier and there are practically no boundaries to it. The graphics in my games all sucked, naturally.
When I moved on to high school the PC took over, I started learning simple HTML around I guess 10th grade or so. I took a java class my junior year (that was the first year it was offered, before that it was C++, as the AP test had just changed to java). So I learned java, and that made it all the easier to pick up javascript, which I did I guess last year for the same reason Squall did.

We had an HTML class at school, when I was around 11 or 12 or so. I can vaguely remember it After that I started upgrading and upgrading my HTML, until I found out about PHP and its advantages. I just started modding stuff around from already made codes, until I made my first codes, that were actually useful. JS, I started by modding some already made JS codes at SSD. I got some knowledge from that, but I still have to get some tutorials or books

I think I took a wrong turn somewhere. Maybe I was supposed to go straight on at the traffic lights instead of going right Actually, I'm not sure what got me into coding, probably just interested in how it all works. I've picked up little bits of javascript by looking at how existing codes work and reading up on anything I don't understand in tutorials
