learning about coding for the forums?

how do i satrt to get into codeing for the forums...

I would love to write my own scripts and so on....

But i simplt don't know enough about the coding of the forums on ProBoraods....How do i start?

Any ideas?

Search for some tutorials on HTML/CSS and then get into Javascript (the language for customising proboards) The reason why is you use HTML and CSS in JavaScript, and it's best to know that also.

htmldog.com is the best site (in my opinion) for learning HTML and CSS.

That's great thanks guys....There are codes that i come across and think there great but wouldn't it be great if you could add that too, I'm sure you know what i mean....the one code i would like to get my hands on is a post splitting code (so that you can add images to the top and bottom of each post.....I know that Zdesigns has this code but it's not cross browser).....(even thought they advertise it as such, i waisted 4 hours with that code...sorry still pretty pissed about that)....

I'm getting there slowly but surely with CSS, I have Html Licked....but a blind one armed monkey can understand that...lol

I hope to post some of my hacks soon...

It will probably be quite a while before you can do something like a post splitter. I won't even touch it. I would suggest starting simple, like a non-profile edittable miniprofile hack or last post mod.
