Flash Menu Bar

I am pretty happy with my board except for the menu bar with, help, login etc....

I would like to make a Flash menu bar and after seaching I see its possible. I can do the flash but get lost in installing it.

Am I correct in thinking I have to write code which removes the standard menu and replaces it with my flash bar.

Can someone recommend a tutorial site. I am tired of joining boards to only see premade templates but dont tell you the theory behind it.

I will keep searching but if someone could help it would be appreciated.

You could always just request a code here for it (in the requests board). Removing the default menu would be easy enough. Someone at SoCal just requested a code to put a flash bar into the menu bar. [click]
