I want to create a blog but I want it to be a challenge not just going through a blog host, how is it done, does anyone have any links to any tutorials?

It depends what you will be working with. I assume PHP. You'll have to choose flat file (easiest, IMO) or MySQL, to store the information. I've done this same thing. I even started my own blog hosting service around it. I will reccomend you to flat file. In that case, www.ronsguide.com/ will be the best place to start.  |

Virus, I find MySQL so much easier than flat files. So much easier Learn PHP, learn how to code things in PHP, start coding blog. |

You don't have to be good at php in order to create your own blog system or so, well depending on if you wanted to create it from scratch, but the best would be going through a tutorial or a pre-made blogs. Its easy to install when you know how to use phpmyadmin and so. |
