Jagex Customer Support Sucks!

One of my unused accounts on RuneScape has been muted for nearly two years now, but I thought I would check out the appeal offence / ban page (because I was bored) and I noticed they gave me another chance to appeal.

The offence was a virus that put a link in the text where ever the text cursor was. The first time i appealed I explained to them that I got rid of the virus and that it wouldn't happen again, but oh no, they disaproved my appeal. So, a couple of days ago I appeal again, saying that I now have a new computer with no trace of the virus and they locked my account!

They said that they thought it was stolen so locked it, I filled out the recover a locked account form, but it was over 2 years ago since I created it, so I couldn't remember anything. But they still say no and say that it was stolen.

They need new customer support people, who wants to hack and take over a level 25?!

when i used to play runescape someone hacked my account and it took me like 3 months after making an appeal to get it back. I quit by then

I Quite like their customer support, they locked my account when i told them to, and they unlocked it when i gave them my debit cards security number.
Although, the person who hacked me got me a 11.5 warning out of 10, and now im on my last chance, i just gave up playing anyway..

at customer support for jagex, they dont have real people..they are bots..

If you can't prove it's your account then how are they supposed to know? For example, if you've moved house since you last used it then it could look like a totally different person made the account. You have to remember with online games, the staff don't know you, they only know the details you give them and if that doesn't match the account then you can't prove you made it.

Who'd want to hijack a 25? Who'd want to hijack a proboard? A friend with a grudge, someone who was bored. There are lots of reasons, doesn't have to be to loot all your items and gold. Some people are just mean like that.

I'm not too fussed over it because I have other better accounts, but I was just annoyed when they locked my account for trying to get it unmuted. I do not like their customer support

Were you expecting to get your account back when you couldnt' remember any of the details? Ifg they gave accounts to people that easily they'd get billions of people asying top level accounts were theirs but they'd forgotten all their details.

I created the account over 2 years ago and not used it, so I couldn't remember the details.

As I said before, it's a level 25 with no items, I gave all my items to my friend when I left it. I knew where it was standing and said that they could go on and see, and check the "Last log in date" when it loads up.

You can remember where it was standing and the last login date, but not any of the other details? That makes it sound even more suspicious... a PB example, I can see where you most recently posted, and when you last logged in, but would you expect Pat to give me your password based on that information?

I didn't say I could remember the last log in date, it was ages ago. I said that they could see it if they logged into it.

I remember where it was standing because before I took it off as member I went to the place where you start and stood outside (Lumbridge if any of you play)

And no, before you ask I don't know the credit card details because Mum & Dad go through credit cards like ProBoards does with posts ;D

Maybe you do remember but just don't realize it. Your recovery answers are case sensative. At least in rsc they were.
