I really don't like small fonts. I know admins think it looks good, but I really don't want to have to squint. And some people have bad eyesight. It can sometimes make members leave or effect the activeness of the forum. Just normal size fonts are better or bigger fonts.
If I'm changing my font, I don't make it a small font. I make it a big font. Nice and big so everyone gets a "BOOM" and that everyone can see it and it's all fine. Personally, I think bigger fonts are better because they're easier to see and more people may come because they think that big fonts are exciting.
My few members are what makes my forum work. I would like members and guests to be able to see what they are reading. I have some eye problems and I would consider changing the font size any time for any of my members or even guests. Sqinting at words sucks! (my opinion) Thanks and God bless
Joshua 1:9King James Version (KJV)
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
I have the default size for text, and I made the links bold in order to make sure people understand that those are links. I also have older members who - some of them, not all of them - change the fonts in their posts so that it's bigger. It could be for a variety of reasons, and I don't blame them for doing it.
I'm not going to warn them for making their post font huge. Whatever floats their boat is fine by me.
But the default size of text doesn't seem to get negative attention. I'm sure that if it was smaller, it would probably be frowned upon.
