Description: The CrossFury code isnt working very well with me. I was able to add the options by using the admin panel then i typed in my answers to the options and clicked modify profile and it worked perfictally. I then realised that i forgot to add something and went back to add it in then clicked save. That competely wiped out everything i enetered into all of the options i added with crossfury. I did find a way to fix it. I went to my admin panel, clicked on edit option, clicked on one of the options, then clicked validate data WITHOUT making any changes. I was then able to go back to my profile, type in the answers again, then save and it showed up!! My question is do i really have to do that every single time i want to edit something?? It's quite a pain. And an off topic question - Is there a way some of the options can show up in your miniprofile while all the other ones show up ONLY in your main profile? The way i have it now is that they all show up in your miniprofile and that just takes up way to much space Experienced By: Everyone Code URL: support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=codedatabase&action=display&n=1&thread=70269 Web Browser: Mozilla Firefox Forum URL: gmsscienceclub.proboards83.com

The problem is actually a limitation on the maximum characters that can be stored in the user's website URL field which is where Crossfury saves its data for each user. You can see this by modifying your profile then adding &NOHEADERS=1 to the end of the url to disable the Crossfury code then inspect the contents of the website URL field.
That field has a maximum capacity of 200 characters* so depending on how many options you've added plus how long the value you've set for those options that space will get used up pretty quickly.
Since each option is delimited by a "?" at the start and a"&?" at the end that capacity falls even lower and if you for example add an option that starts below the 200 mark but ends above it then it will be chopped off when saved. The option will seem to mysteriously disappear when in actuality half of it will be there at the end of the url but with no ending delimiter ["&?"] the Crossfury code won't recognize it as a valid option.
*the actual capacity is really lower since proboards apparently does a URI encode and/or HTML Entify of the contents before checking the length
