I'v had a skateboard for maybe five years and I only tried using it once. Never touched it since and it's sitting in my room right now. It's just not my thing. I'm an indoor person these days.

I did sk8 for some time had a Think deck and a Darkstar. But I broke my ankle and tore some tendens. That put an end to my ridding days. I was good on vert, thats how i did it too. lol. Front side borde slide that got away and i tryed to step back. Landed on the transision and snap! oh well it was fun.

Wow. I had no idea so many people were involved in skateboarding(or once did) here at proboards. I like the stories. For all of you who said you broke bones, I am currently recovering from a broken leg(which is the main reason im on the computer so much). it is a real bummer to not be able to do what you love. Two broken wrists sounds intense.
