Everyone will have to be patient with this. Ddos attacks can be nasty and hard to stop, especially if it originates from somewhere in Eastern Europe or Asia.
Someone's probably annoyed their board was deleted or something.
I used to play a mmorpg. They banned some cheats who then operated a denial of service attack for a long period of time. It was only a small mmorpg and they never recovered from the loss of business.
The proboard guys here are far more "au fait" than my game operators so lets hope for the best.

In the mean time Patrick, if you find out what the source is, let us know and we can return the favour

I'm sure the proboards staff have more than enough hassle on their hands at this very moment without all of the demands for ETAs and complaints about the boards being down. The proboards staff have, on numerous occasions, proved to be gentlemen amongst men (or ladies as the case may be) so just cut them some slack and find something else to do in the mean time.

Servers on the server status page that appear to be online but aren't is, in my mind, likely due to the refresh rate of that page and the over-taxing of the servers themselves. Plainly put, if it looks to be online and it isn't, then it obviously isn't, and you should go occupy yourself with more fruitful endeavours than stating the obvious ^_~

I wish, instead however, to extend my gratitude to the proboards staff for dealing with this enormous pain in the rear on behalf of we, who use this often free service. I'm sure there are plenty of things they would rather be doing.

And I think that proboards support might just be on a different server....not sure but it seems logical to me that they wouldn't host their own site on a server that has hundreds of boards.

Well the staff will fix it asap, just give them time.

If your able to at least get into your headers and footers like I am, then I suggest backing your headers/footers up.
