Okay, normally I'd look myself on the Internet for tutorials, but I can't seem to find any. I'm looking to create a fade effect in ImageReady where the object fades in from left to right (like it's being revealed starting at one time). I'm looking to do this with objects and text for a sig I'm making, but I can't seem to find any tutorials on this. Any help/links to tutorials is/are appreciated.

I think that I may know a way to do this but would you happen to have an example that I can see so I am sure of what you are asking for?

This was probably the ONLY example I could find: www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBGbKCm_pQQAt the end of the trailer, the text fades in from bottom to top. I'd like to do that, except from left to right.

OK, I'll see if I can whip up a tutorial.
I hope this helps. Not entirely sure if it's what you are looking for though. I started off with a small canvas that I then placed some text in the center. In a new layer, add a gradient (transparent to background color where the transparent section is small. Now, with all layers visible, transfer to image ready. In the animation palette, click the Duplicate Current Frame button. With the gradient layer selected, take the move tool and using Shift + Right Arrow key, move the gradient to the opposite side of the canvas so that the text is completely visible. Now click the Tween button in the animation palette and select the number of frames you want to use. This may take some playing around with depending on how slowly or quickly you want the text to appear. I chose 15 frames. One you have done that, you can now play the animation from the animation palette to see what it looks like and make any adjustments to frame rate. I selected all the frames and then changed the rate to 0.1 seconds. After that I changed the first and last frame to a rate of 1 second. You can also set it up to repeat forever (which is the default setting) or choose for it to play once. There is also the "Other" option too if you want to be really specific. This is what the animation looks like.
