I've been working on an RPG, and I'm wondering if people would be interested in this. It uses an external database so you can store a lot of things such as items, custom classes and player stats.

I haven't made it look pretty so the page designs are pretty bad, but here are some previews. If you are good at designing and want to help let me know.

And I need a name so let me know if you can think of anything.

I would do the CSS, but I have no pretty things to do besides a background color lol. I wouldl ike to use this code, though, I would have to edit it a crapload to a Pokemon standpoint.

I will do all the coding, I just need someone who can design the page in photoshop or any program. Also, if you have suggestions I'd be happy to hear them because this is just a basic prototype which I will expand on later.

That's fine. I appreciate the comment, and you wouldn't have to join my forum since I'm making it where everyone can put it own their own forum.

I'd use the default ProBoards layout, so it would flow better. The only thing you should be designing is icons for the items and such. A full page rewrite would feel as if you were on another site entirely.

I know, I just need help for the item sections. I need a good layout for them where it's easy to look up their stats. Right now I have a little table that looks out of place on the character page.

I'd combine the Name/Image cells in the Shop area. And the Price/Buy cells.
[image] [name] ... [level] ... [req. stats] ... [blessed] ... [price] [buy]

And you could prolly replace Blessed with an icon and combine it with [name] too or something.

Or you could make the code editable too.. like a Pokemon RPG.. you could put like potions and ethers and TMs and crap.. berries -gets all jittery- When will this code be done?

That would be hard to keep track of if the information is stored server side. I guess he'd need custom information saved client-side (in the headers/footers). The bad thing with that is that it can be altered by anyone viewing the page.
For example, if "cost_of_potion" is set to 50, and I knew JavaScript, I could set cost_of_potion to 1, and buy 50 of them for the same price as one legit. With server side, that wouldn't be possible. So, I'd be interested in seeing how that would go down.

It's all server-side. I have three mysql tables for each forum: Classes, Items, and Players.

So each forum will have their own custom classes and items.

I know they used to be, but I wasn't sure if they still are. Nobody ever finishes them.

That's a good idea. I'll combine some of the fields and I liked the blessed idea since True/False is kinda boring.
