Okay Here Are 3 Questions I Have About Proboards...
1. Whats The Difference Between A Moderator And A Global Moderator?
2. When you make someone a mod, they come up in the staff member list but not as a Mod. How do you make them come up as a Moderator.
3. When you make some1 a mod, how do you choose if there global or regular.
Thanks So Much.

1. Depending on what powers you give them on your forum.
2. Modify their profile and set their group as Moderator.
3. You do.

1. A moderator can: Lock/ Unlock/ Move/ Sticky and a few other things basic. A Global Moderator can do all of that on any board plus they can ban delte users and do anything the admin sets them to do. 2. They should, oh. Modify a board so there name says they're a mod for it, then go to there profile and set them to a mod. 3. Go to their profile and there will be a field. Select either Mod or Gmod. ******************************************************** Anymore questions

No, they can't see that unless you assign them to a staff member group (moderator, global moderator, administrator). You can see it because you are the administrator, though. Captain Maniac

they shouldn't be. Only if they have powers should they see the admin button...
a Main admin, admin, Gmod, Mod (pending on how you set the mods powers) will always see the button. But a Guest, and Regular member should not be!
EDIT:"late post" O,o

when you are setting their powers certain features are in the admin area... so pending on how you set their power they will or will not see it

Sorry i forgot to mention there global mods.... Is it because i didnt limit there powers? yes, that is why. If you limit their powers then they can't moderate any board unless you set the boards for them to moderate. Global mods are meant to have some powers in the admin section, so limiting their powers gets rid of the admin button.

Thanks for answers announcements appear at the top of every board, unless you set it not to show on that board through the board settings. Advanced moderation is used when you want to lock, sticky, move etc... for many threads at a time.

Example, Mine Says proborder New Member <script type="text/javascript"> // mini profile center if (location.href.match(/action/gi)) { makeCenter = document.getElementsByTagName('TD'); for(t=0;t<makeCenter.length;t++) if(makeCenter[t].width=="20%") makeCenter[t].align='center'; } </script> If you come back in a day or two and have more questions, you don't have to look for this thread, you can start a new one

Are we talking about the same thing? im talking about at the top of the boards and when u click on it, it leads to a second board. (not sub forums) How do u make announcements?
