Its easynets proxy/filter systems at 212.134.155.211 and 212.134.155.210 that are the issue its been happening years just google those IPs.

I said it before and say it again Easynet need to just switch the stupid thing off/bypass it if they cant maintain it properly.

Yeah, it looks like thats most likely what is affecting your ability to connect.

As for the obligatorily statements:
Nothing has been changed at this end, so once again we know its not us thats the cause of this issue.
The 8080 workaround will remain online until further notice since they apparently dont know how to allow users onto legitimate sites (lets hope they dont also block my workaround).
Based on the link provided, it does appear easynet is doing filtering or just working on their routing (badly i feel like i should add) and since the timing fits perfectly, i would say we are on the same issue as the hosting sites mentioned.

If they are unco-operative and cannot or won't fix it (I've complained by email and by phone to their support team) I will go to their CEO, or the press.

Hopefully, it won't come to that but my patience won't last forever. It's been over three days now, not a great advert for their technical people. But the word is spreading on UK broadand forums and boards:
