Blank headers and footers

My headers and footers have gone blank what do I do please help?

If you are having problems with your headers and footers that prevent pages from being displayed, do the following:

* Go to your board (e.g. your-board.proboards.com/)
* Click on the LOGIN button.
* Add "&NOHEADERS=1" onto the end of the URL (e.g. your-board.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=login&NOHEADERS=1)
* Type in your username and password, click login.
* Now change the URL in your address bar to be index.cgi?action=headersfooters&NOHEADERS=1 (e.g. your-board.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=headersfooters&NOHEADERS=1)
* You will now be able to modify your headers and footers

The pages are being displayed only when you enter the headers and footers are they blank

did you ever have any custom codes in them?


edit to add: they're blank by default.

I can't paste into them they are just blank this code was added this morning

i can see you have codes in your page source but your saying they arent there when you access headers and footers through the admin panel

which header and footer are you accessing you have one of each for each board

the codes should be in your global and main headers and footers

because they are showing up in your source

My global and main headers and footers had codes in them now they are blank and a white sheet

please can you tell me where they are ?

if you are'nt seeing them then something is afoot because I see code's from your source..try cleaning out you temp internet files and cookies and restarting your computer then try to access the global headers and footers.

Thanks to all for your help, but my husband has solved my dilemma. The problem was resolved by putting in the URL for NOHEADERS&FOOTERS, and then I just removed the offending code.

Thanks again folks, as the panic is now over. Phew!!
